Writing a book to describe the city of Edinburgh would be more fitting and more appropriate than to write just a short review. The historical centre city of Edinburgh pours its very own charm and even if you are not so much into history it is a delightful experience. Rarely have I seen a city with such a strong but at the same time gentle spirit. The people have been incredibly polite, kind and amicable. Edinburgh has so much to offer and is a real beauty spot. Been a few times to Aberdeen as this is where our son lives. Plenty variety of eating places and pubs etc . We were there one night as we were there for a specific show at the time in the Aberdeen Music Hall. The hotel was very close to the bus stop which took us to Arbroath, a cute little village that we wanted to see. The bus station and cruise terminal were also close to the hotel. The dining options in Dundee were great, many to choose from, people in the shops friendly. The visit to the "Discovery" ship was great and would recommend this attraction. On the whole, it was easy to get around Dundee on foot or using the local bus. The local bus drivers were great and helpful to us as overseas visitors but some were very gruff, rude and unhelpful and assumed we would know things that as overseas visitors, we had no idea and spoke to us in a gruff and abrupt manner. I love this neck of the woods. Plenty to do if you are an outdoors person or just want a break from busy places. It is a nice laid back location where there is a lot less hassle. Lots of nice food places - either restaurants or take-aways and plenty of shops where you could buy your own food if you don't want to go out. Highly recommended.
