- Scored out of 10, guest rating 10.0Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 35 reviewsBeautiful country house/horse farm in the middle of the Quantock Hills. Amazing cross country walking trails everywhere! If you’re a nature lover, you’ll love this as much as we did. Very cosy room and delicious breakfast - served in a typical old English country house. Anne & Mark were so accommodating and very helpful in booking our pub dinners and showing us the trails.Guest review byNadyaAustria

The staff friendly & helpful Lovely evening meal
The staff friendly & helpful Lovely evening meal breakfast was lovely My only concern were other occupants leaving rooms and leaving the doors to bang on closure - you only had to hold the door to close without banging to stop disturbing other residentsGuest review byAnthonyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Easy to find. Straight forward routes to and from Holford. Easy access to historic towns and villages. Close to the sea wirh with jurassic beaches. Great scenery with plenty of countryside walks. Not far away from the bigger towns, and tourist attractions. The plough pub is warm and friendly offering a good standard of food.Guest review byShaunUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The beach at Kilve and the cliff walks are the highlight and probably the sole reason one might choose to stop there. A quiet sleep village with a Post Office/General Store. We ate dinner in the Hood Arms where we stayed. It was very busy, always a good sign, and there were good choices, well cooked and we didn't feel rushed.Guest review byMelanieUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Characterful village with two pubs (great food at The Ancient Mariner) and a well stocked local shop. Great view from the top of the old castle hill. Easy access to local towns and the Quantock Hills.Guest review byIanAustralia - 10.0

Kilve Beach has interesting geological features and good for fossil hunting, we found ammonites there. We were wary of the problems with fines in the car park after reading reviews so walked from The Hood Arms where we stayed 3 nights. Pleasant 20 minute walk. Green area and seats at the top of the beach and wonderful views. Recommend the Hood Arms for food and stay.Guest review byOliviaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I was just visiting family who have lived in Nether Stowey for some years so we are very familiar with the village . It is very pleasant in the summer but less so on a dark wet December day such as we have just experienced.Guest review byGillianUnited Kingdom
