It's a fantastic hotel I really couldn't fault it at all. Fantastic views of Lough Eren. We had food in the hotel both nights and it was lovely. The first night in the cellar bar we had fish and chips and it was top notch. Second night we had our dinner in the Belleek restaurant for my wife's birthday and it was beautiful.Great selection of cocktails and drinks on offer with the most comfortable seats in the Water gate bar . The breakfast both mornings we had a great view of the Lough and the attention to detail from the staff was very impressive. We did the stairway to heaven which is a half an hour drive away and we came back to a beautiful dip in the pool as well as the outdoor Jacuzzi . There is also a steam room and a sauna. Definitely going back and I will make sure to bring the golf clubs and book the spa treatment well in advance.

We stayed 3 nights and loved it! The location is ideal for exploring Derry. We upgraded to a suite and had a gorgeous corner suite with views of Derry’s walls and the surrounding hills. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the front desk staff were terrific. We found that the double sets of windows were great. They closed tightly and kept out street noises but they also opened up easily to let in fresh air.

We stayed in a Lodge so it was self catering but we were offered breakfast as an option which was a nice touch, but we catered for ourselves. We were part of a wedding party so dinner was sorted. The Lodge was very spacious, very clean, and the beds were very comfy. We got married there 24 years ago and are planning on celebrating our 25th anniversary with you next Aug 2025.

The hop on hop off bus was good value for money as the ticket lasted two days, but when we came out of Crumlin Road gaol the buses had stopped running! More to self, check last bus times. The normal buses are good value, run frequently and on time. Our black cab your was a disappointment, but perhaps just the person we had. The Titanic experience is a must do, we spent about four hours there, very moving. The city centre is very walkable and has lots of lovely shops, places to eat etc. Recommend the Crown Bar

There's nothing I didn't like.

There's nothing I didn't like. The weather wasn't the best but it was easy to get about and there are plenty of nice places for a hot drink and a bite between showers. The Bogside (just through the Butcher's Gate buy the hotel) was an interesting and sobering experience. (There are Bogside walking tours available, which I understand are excellent, but I went on my own.) Derry's eventful and often haunting history is explained very well in the exhibitions at the Tower Museum on Waterloo Street. One day I took a taxi out to Wild Ireland, a wildlife sanctuary just over the border in the Republic. (About 10 miles away?) Brown bears, wolves, wild boar, old Irish goats, foxes and also raccoons, wallabies and monkeys live there in beautiful ancient woodland and sare cared for by a very dedicated group of people. There's also a cafe and a nice gift shop there. The Grain and Grill restaurant within the Maldron hotel is excellent. I'd also like to recommend the Mekong, a Vietnamese restaurant just round the corner on Magazine Street: a gorgeous menu and really friendly staff. A walk along the Walls is worth doing (several points of access, you can join them and leave as you wish, and they are free), so is a walk across the Peace Bridge over the Foyle.

Newcastle is a typical seaside town, with plenty of facilities, but unfortunately a few years ago it lost it's beautiful sandy beach. Plenty of places to eat, not just fish and chip shops, and a few pubs. Beware of Quinn's on a Saturday night if you don't like loud music. Easy to walk about, though not easy to drive through.

Such a special area. There is so much to see and do. Cutest little shops. Nature and Natural beauty is everywhere. You are practically tripping over the next inspiring view point. I was so happy the whole time we were there. Pubs, Beaches, Nature, People watching, We were there in the Autumn. It was easy to get parking. I can see that this area would be very popular. Loads of golf around. I am not into that but all the green adds to the beauty of the area.

The little town Camlough we stayed in was really lovely and you can walk around it's shops easily as they are close together. Great variety of places to eat and a large nisa extra convenient store. Being a coffee lover, I never seen as many signs advertising coffee available along our traveling route it was amazing but such a tease as you can't be having coffee pit stops every 5 minutes or my partner would just leave me out by one of the coffee trailers for the whole day by myself lol.
