We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Sneaton Castle. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. Everything was well maintained. The attention to detail was very good. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. We dined at the restaurant one evening and the food was first rate. Great chefs here. They even created a special birthday cake which was the best we have had period. I could not fault Sneaton Castle in any way.

Everything. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating from the moment we stepped through the door 2.5 hours early. We were attending a wedding so needed somewhere to get changed so they prepared our room for us so we could get settled before leaving for the wedding. The room were very clean and the bed extremely comfortable and breakfast the next morning was exceptional.

Beautiful room, attention to detail and decor, treats for the guest like bathrobes, slippers, welcoming chocolates etc. The staff was absolutely fantastic, especially Cameron who did our check-in, he went the extra mile to make sure we are comfortable and he also helped us to plan our trip around the city to make the most out of the limited time we had in York. Breakfast was worth the money. Access to parking on the premises was also a win for us. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The city itself has a lot going on but is also a 30-minute train ride from other interesting towns, like York, Saltaire, and Ilkley. Easy to get around by food, despite the awful freeways that carve up the city and the major construction at the railway station.

Loved the town, daughter has her heart set on Hallam uni now. Keep an eye on which way you walk in and out of the city from the hotel as there were dodgy areas, like any city. Loved the fact that the centre is almost all pedestrianised. Had a fab meal in Bella Italia.

Scarborough has long been an attractive option for a Yorkshire seaside break. It has suffered like many seaside town from the flight from UK holidays to cheap flights abroad. It is still a great family resort, with strong natural features, including the beaches and coastal gardens, and the castle. It s cultural offer is improving all the time. The Spa puts on some great events and the Stephen Joseph Theatre is a real gem with a great range of theatre productions, film and other events. The town centre continues to receive investment which will only bring more into the town as will the Scarborough Fair programme of off season activities that has just started.

Doncaster town is very depressing. Big shops moved out and lots of shops closed entirely. Such a shame. We lived here for eleven years and moved with work but come back frequently to see friends. From the bank HSBC up Hallgate to the top is a very sad sight. Money needs investing to make it lovely again.

Huddersfield doesn't have the best of reputations, which is a pity. I think that it's an absolute gem. The buildings are gorgeous, particularly to one who looks, such detail and reference to the industrial past. From the entrance steps to the railway station, one can see a lion and a prime minister. If you roam and keep your eyes open, there is so much more. I ate at my hotel. i travelled by car,
