Beautiful location, really handy for bars and restaurants. The hotel is a 3 star, but that did not diminish the quality we experienced. The staff were excellent and could not do enough for us. We paid for a sea view and I am so pleased we did, although our room on the first floor was right on top of the local bars, so it could get a little noisy at times. On Sunday motorbikes descend on the town and some parked up right outside the hotel so that was a bit of a nuisance. The resort is very popular with the Greek people, it is likely their destination for a day trip, which is to be expected and it was good to see so many people enjoy the scenery etc.Guest review bySandraUnited Kingdom

I loved the whole area and the extensive views, out to sea and across the plains for miles and miles, with distant hills in every direction. Nafplio was vibrant, beautiful and very interesting historically with its Venetian, Ottoman and ancient history. Lovely little village. Friendly people, Very nice marina. Great Ice cream parlour, we had a different flavour every evening. The bakery sells wonderful cakes, we tried lots of them. Walked to the beach with the sunken ruins and ate at Athina then bought olives, olive oil and wild oregano from their farm shop - recommended. We had a three night stay in La Petit Planete after 10 days exploring Athens (4 nights) and the Peloponnese so our Mykines stay was a chance to wind down and relax with some wine tasting and pool time ahead of driving back to Athens for our flight.
