A Well-Kept Secret
Evia (or Euboea) is the 2nd largest island of Greece and is connected with 2 bridges to the mainland. Ideal for summer and winter holidays, this unique destination features hot springs, lovely beaches, green mountains, traditional villages and a ski centre.
Located on the north-east side of Attica, Evia is a walkers' paradise thanks to the old stone paths connecting the picturesque villages with the stunning forest areas. Inhabited since prehistoric times and known for its seafood and handcrafts, Euboea also has many thermal sources.

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 148 reviewsFantastic spot with beautiful views, you can see the sea just from your bed, wake up, and fall asleep with the sound of the waves (with open windows). Rooms have everything you might need, towels are changed every day, and everything is super clean. Breakfast was included. It was not a standard buffet but a la carte with plenty of options. We tried everything during our stay and liked it all. Beach is close. You can walk about 7 minutes through the forest or take a car. Water is crystal clear, and in August, it was also very warm. Umbrellas are available at the reception free of charge. Last but definitely not the least is staff. Attentive, caring, made our stay extremely comfortable! We are really hoping to be back one day.Guest review byKseniaSpain
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 154 reviewsThe Hotel Managers and personnel were polite and friendly. I booked the J-Suite which found good and cost was fair for this type of room. All services were top rated and the best thing (from my point of view) was the restaurant. The food was tasteful and delicious! The Managers & Personnel are high quality professionals and the whole experience is unique. Next time I would like to book the G-Suite which offers a great balcony with Bay view!Guest review byLefterisGreece

it was my 3rd time in Chalkida: its a 100.000 inhabitants...
it was my 3rd time in Chalkida: its a 100.000 inhabitants town and its typical Greek city: dirty, loud, traffic out of control - every driver is doing what he wants. be careful when you cross the road by foot!! you have a very clean and calm shopping mall and a tourist area on the beach where is a lot of Restaurants. unfortunately, the later the evening, the louder the music. we were in Mostar meeting friends and you could not understand your own word. whats sense of so loud music in a Restaurant? around Chalkida there are a lot of wonderful, peaceful places. visit the beach areas or the Castle Cafe for a good cup! prices in most restaurants are very fair, but be careful not to be tricked: especially when you choose fish, ASK BEFORE what it will cost!Guest review byStephanAustria - 10.0

Eretria is a beautiful town, and the entire island of Euboea is truly a hidden gem. We highly recommend stepping out of the usual tourist routes and discovering this authentic and charming part of Greece.Guest review byLucieCzech Republic - 6.0
Center was busy, nice and well endowed.
Center was busy, nice and well endowed. Many restaurants, and people walking around downtown in the evenings. That place has a history of tourism which is visible and valued by the city hall. Better beaches are further away. Not so easy to find a supermarket or a mini-market in the center. Ferry not available after 7 pm so when travelling by car need to adjust schedule accordingly. .Guest review byBogdanRomania - 10.0
It is a pleasant resort for a stay at the sea.
It is a pleasant resort for a stay at the sea. The marina is a pleasant place to walk and visit. There are many terraces/restaurants/taverns for dining. The nearby Galida beach is very long, with calm, clear water, with few stones. There are parking lots right next to the beach, under the shade of the pine trees. There is a tavern on the beach. Winds are specific in the area, but despite all that, the sea has no waves, it is good for swimming. There are not many places to buy souvenirs in the city. We ate at the Cavo D'Oro tavern and Fingerfood, and we recommend.Guest review byAnaRomania - 6.0
Amarinthos itself is a bit quiet.
Amarinthos itself is a bit quiet. There is much more going on in the nearby town of Eretria. (I visited Evia for a sea kayaking course in Eretria, and stayed in a hotel in Amarinthos only because it offered better value than many of the hotels in Eretria.)Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Skyros is not overly commercialised which makes it a perfect destination. Lovely beaches, hospitality and tavernas. Molos beach is the best. Kalimistas beach is worth a visit. Asterias taverna is the best place to eat in Molos a d on the beach.Guest review byAlisonUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Nice hotel basically. Soundproof rooms. Nice balcony.
Nice hotel basically. Soundproof rooms. Nice balcony. Pretty low class breakfast. It is an Italian hotel, and the Italians don’t do much for breakfast, so maybe that’s why it didn’t compare to the marvelous breakfast I had the day before at the Athenaeum Grand in Athens. The room was very hot when I checked in at midnight, and the single air conditioner never cooled the room before morning. Nice shower.Guest review byPatrickUnited States - 10.0
The hotel is a perfect spot for relaxation.
The hotel is a perfect spot for relaxation. The staff is nice and polite, the room is perfectly clean. The beach, which is right next to the hotel is beautiful with crystal clear water. It is rocky though, so you might want to put on a pear of water shoes. There are plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from, and the food they served were all absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!Guest review byAndiHungary - 10.0

Chalkida is a unique city with a canal and an old bridge famous for its "crazy waters" meaning the high and low tide which you can actually see . It has beautiful cafés on the promenade in front of the canal fantastic shopping, lots of pedestrian streets for good quality shopping, great food. It is a great escape from Athens for a weekend or a couple of days at the entrance of Evia island. You can go to further destinations in Evia easily. I would highly recommend the city for a short stay. Bear in mind that it is difficult to get around by car but the parking spots are very affordable. I would recommend the seaside of Lefkanti 20 min awayGuest review byMariaGreece - 2.0

A village with a small port and a main street with a few gift shops and restaurants. Food not really great and not fresh. We tried calamary and it was super gummy. Nothing to do, beach is a muddy strip with tons of trash on it. Not much a of night life and only retired older people here.Guest review byDaniela
