A beautiful, charming little town, small enough to walk from one side to the other in minutes but we spent hours walking around the old town and exploring all the little back streets, shops and the astonishing number of cafes and restaurants. I have a minor mobility issue and used a walking frame with robust wheels - that was problematic in only a handful of areas with steps but even those I managed to negotiate up and down with help from my companion. It could be more difficult and a bumpy ride for anyone in a wheelchair as some streets are cobbled. People were friendly and helpful. The only down side was the mosquitoes, which we now know are a problem at the time of year we went - October. Oia is all about the view. Spectacular. It is packed with tourists for a well deserved reason. It is totally touristy, expensive, but we can overlook that and the crowds because of that view.
