- From $154.84 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 211 reviewsOutstanding facility with large luxury suites. Wonderful pool, especially for kids, with its huge shallow partition. Complimentary bottle of good wine in our room. Across the street from a nice beach, and an easy 12 minute walk from an outstanding one with perfect sand and a nice little cafe. Also an easy 10 minute walk from the ferry. General manager, George, was very friendly and welcoming. Great spread for breakfast. In our nearly 2 months of traveling some of less touristy islands of Greece this was probably our favorite hotel. It’s not inexpensive but you get what you pay for here. Staff were all very sweet. Book it and you you’ll be pleased.Guest review bydrewUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 83 reviewsThe villa is designed to fit the island’s character, being in harmony with the surrounding landscape. Perfectly located halfway between the port and the picturesque village of Ioulis, everything you may ever need during your vacations is within your grasp. We had a fantastic time here. The property is really well located, with a great view from the terrace, easy access to beaches and close to some very nice restaurants. Haris was a particularly kind and considerate host. He provided us with good recommendations about where to go on the island.Guest review byNIKOLAOSGreece

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 269 reviewsWe stayed here one night before heading up towards Loulida for a five night stay and two nights afterwards before leaving the island. We regretted not staying at Hotel Karthea for our entire stay on the island. The facilities are clean, the staff is professional and kind, and the location is excellent.Guest review byDorothyUnited States

Although not the typical white-washed cycladic village, it is still a comfortable ferry port that turns into a pedestrian area once the last ferry is gone or parked for the night, giving the opportunity to families with small kids to enjoy the stroll. It is packed with cafeterias, cozy restaurants, music bars. It also has some nice shops, a pharmacy, travel agencies etc.Guest review byGEORGIOSBelgium - 10.0

Early september was great to stay a week!
Early september was great to stay a week! It wasn't busy since it was off-season and the 2, Otzias Kouzina and Taverna of Anna, are excellent places to eat and should be easily walkable from any of the places to stay in the area. Near the center and right side of the beach looking out to sea there is more sand and less stone so is better to swim at.Guest review byJimNetherlands - 10.0

We spent a week here with friends and it was absolutely perfect. The view from the infinity pool is incredible - watching the sunset over the Aegean Sea was unforgettable. The villa has everything you could want - spacious bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and amazing outdoor spaces. The host was exceptional, really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Every detail is perfectly thought out, from the luxury furnishings to the pool bar. The location in Koundouros is ideal - peaceful but close to beautiful beaches. This was more than just accommodation, it was a real experience. We're already planning to come back!Guest review byIakovosGreece - 10.0

You have to have a car to travel there because there are dirty roads with no public transport. Xyla beach is the most beautiful beach in the island, but you have to have your own umbrella or you have to pay 20-25 Eur per day if you want to have sunbeds and umbrella. There are not so many people like in other beaches of the island, so it is quite calm there during the day.Guest review byAnonymousLithuania - 10.0

A cosy family run hotel overlooking the beach and the port - we had a corner room with a balcony offering both views. A very good bed and mattress which we enjoyed after a whole day travelling and gave us a good night’s sleep! Breakfast was healthy and good with enough choice. The staff were friendly even at the end of the season - we were the last guests to leave and the hotel was closing down for the winter!Guest review byLilianaNetherlands - 8.0

We were staying a few twisty miles from the main town which is a very interesting place on a steep hill and with almost no traffic - the streets and alley ways are just too narrow. Although we were there at the end of the season there were still a few good restaurants openGuest review byScrimgeourUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful beach with many options to seat. on the left side the beach has some waves and on the opposite the water is extremely calm. you can rent a lounge chair with umbrella or just lay on your towel.Guest review byNIKOLAOSFrance - 8.0

It lacks character and a town centre with no shops and only one restaurant ,though there is plenty to do with transport with plenty of beaches in the area, as well as hikes- one leading to an ancient settlement behind a good beach.Guest review byScrimgeourUnited Kingdom - 4.0

Melissaki is an area on Kea island that has a few nice hotels and some really beautiful beaches. The road leading to Melissaki from the port and going around the area is a dirt road, however, which can get really bumpy for a typical vehicle and awfully tiring for a visitor who is trying to enjoy their vacation time there. Hence, it is an area to visit and not to stay at.Guest review byChristosGreece
