I was recently in Greece for my best friends wedding. It also was my very first time visiting the country. My second accommodation in the country was the Nautilux Hotel. From the moment I walked onto the property and began to walk towards the entrance, I was met by a friendly face. His name was Nikitas. He welcomed me to the hotel and walked me to reception to get checked in. I expected a wait bc I was a few hours early. Areta was another friendly and helpful face who worked magic and got a room for me very quickly so I did not have to wait. Through out my stay she gave me a lot of helpful advice on places to go around to shop for a white dress:) . I also must mention Iliana, she was so nice and truly interested in how my stay was and if there was anything that she could do to make the stay more comfortable in the future. All the people that I encountered made my stay that much more enjoyable. The hotel is beautiful but the staff are wonderful.

The standard room we booked was spacious, comfortable and very pretty. It was perfect and had everything we needed! The team is really lovely. A good room with beautiful view was something so important to me and you found us simply the most beautiful room we could wish/deserve. Kids are enjoying everything, they loved the aquapark! I loved the wine menu available in the all inclusive experience. Our cretan barbecue during the sunset was a gift! This is the best resort we have ever been to, and when I say that, believe me, it is a huge thing! We have been to the best in caribean, Florida, Brazil, Portugal, Italy, Spain… As the music says: You’re simply the best! We will never forget these days!

    perfect sand beach. large spacious rooms. excellent view from the window, if you are on the second floor, it does not matter whether it is a view of the mountains or the sea. It's good that you don't have air conditioning in the dining room, but only a windmill near the coffee machine. There is another one of the same kind missing in the opposite corner of the room. This allows people at least not to catch a cold while eating. Breakfast and dinner are not as mega varied as in 5-star hotels, but there is always plenty to choose from. and the food is very tasty. Thank you! I will definitely come to you again. p.s. You can get to the hotel and back from Heraklion from the KTEL bus station for 5.40 euros, but the bus is usually late by 15-30 minutes. The bus only runs every 2 hours!!!

    Everything was very pleasant and tranquil, the food was delicious and the staff was incredibly helpful and also knowledgeable about the area. We very much enjoyed the pool area, the movie night and also the live music. Having a gym on site is an added bonus for those who want to do some training. Something that is amazing about this place is its history and the olive mill museum. Something that makes it stand out in our opinion is the attention to detail in every sense! Wherever you look! The architect behind this project did and is still doing an amazing job! In conclusion, a great experience which we will definitely repeat and recommend to others!

The food was also amazing with a lot of verity but the best thing was the pizza at evening, big ups to him for best pizza I eat. Even the animation team was very good for organizing activities they had a lot of creativity and both good and strong personalities that makes the days even better to have fun with them.     A very good base for very many superb beaches in southern Crete, with a nice beach within the town, some great shops and very good eating options both within the town and the surrounding villages. Not spoiled by mass tourism as many other places in the island, yet neither too remote and hard to reach. Just perfect.

    Adorable, quaint and full of charm. At night the village centre close the roads, bring out the tables and chairs and the streets are filled with the sights, smells and sounds of Cretan joy. One of the places I will miss the most and can’t wait to return too.

    Our main. reason for visiting the area was because we were attending a wedding. I did find that Adelianos Kampos was located near to a lot of pick ups for tours around Crete to allow you to experience other areas around the island. Many places to eat around the area, but none that really stuck out for me that I would recommend. Just walk around the area because there is much to choose from.

    I really like Platanes, it's not too far from the busy Rethymno centre and slightly more relaxed than being near the main areas, but still has nice restaurants and beach bars etc. and good access to main roads etc. if you like to get out and adventure without getting stuck in congestion, which can sometime be found neare to centre.

    People say not much there, but we felt it had everything there. Good supermarket, beach good as not spoiled by sun beds all over so you can actually see the beach. Several great bakeries and some good restaurants to choose from. Bus stop into city if needed.

    It's a quiet village with very friendly people and along the beach road you very quickly arrive at the next village that has a mini market and 3 or 4 tavernas. It's not for people looking for nightlife and shops. A car is needed to get there and to be able to go to bigger town with shops and other sights of interest. Our favourite places in Rodakino were Korakas beach cafe; Super market Zafeirakis where the lady was friendly and helpful and Nikos & Anna Taverna. Just a little further away the taverna at Peristeres beach is definitely my favourite place to eat.

    The city itself has everything you could ever need and more. prices are fair and its stunningly beautiful. A city can be beautiful and full of wonderful things to see and do, but its always the people that make your stay. i expected Tourist Fatigue by the time we went in September. But everyone we met was gracious helpful warm and kind.
