Nice old building (historical curia / castle) but renovated in modern style with all necessary modern equipment (climatization, wifi). Even if the temperature outside was 38 °C, inside was climatization at around 23 °C what allow us to feel very comfortable. It is a protected cultural property (heritage) what allows you during stay to forgot all the worries of everyday life. The personal is very polite. The foot in the restaurant is very tasty.

Even though I will write some critical remarks later, the place is absolutely breathtaking. We only stayed one night as a transit to the sea, and it was worth it. A beautiful wine region, above which the guesthouse stands like a castle. And naturally, it offers an unforgettable view. The whole complex is small; many people come here just for the restaurant (which we can highly recommend). We experienced a lively afternoon where people sat in deck chairs, sipped their wine, and chatted. At night, it was peaceful. After a long car journey, it's great to have a swim in the pool, although I'm not sure about the information that it's heated. And everyone was very helpful, both at reception and in the restaurant. We appreciated their welcoming attitude towards our dog and the fact that the grounds are equipped with bins.

Also at the check in was very friendly after some misunderstanding Marija was helping us very good.
Hotel is modern and the rooms nice. We had very nice views of the mountains and beautiful sunsets from our balcony.
No problem for people with rolator. My mam was happy with that. Enjoying the sauna and hydromassage. Very nice..
It was an very nice stay for my mother and me. and we are coming back with plesure.

The place is very unique and that makes it very special to stay there. The place really is as on the pictures, even better feeling live.
It is very clean, the staff/host is excellent, very polite. In the room we were welcomed with champagne and you can make yourself coffee or tea within the room. They offer a lot of homemade products that are tastefull. The restaurant is within the pansion and the offer is great.

Everything. We arrived at the hotel a half hour after the heavy storm had passed, but around the hotel, everything was clean and free from fallen branches and leaves. The view of Trakošćan Castle was amazing.
The staff was kind and friendly. They try to help and solve any of my requests asap.
The use of health care facilities after a long drive had been helpful.

A nice looking town, located on the hills.
A nice looking town, located on the hills.
Traditional format Lidl store is 3-5 minutes walk from train station. Also there is a Konzum store.
The town is not crowdy, therefore, no problems with comfortable driving and parking.
Very nice views, pleasant people.
Kids were happy to play with cats and dogs.
We stayed there for an overnight on our way to the seaside.

Friendly staff, but they sometimes seem overwhelmed with a sheer volume of people, looks like they downsized during covid, and struggling to recover.

Those people are selling the rooms when they are fully booked because they have no idea how to work with booking.com when the property is full! Customer service 0 . Respect for a family with little kids 0 . No interest to contact booking.com to cancel the non refundable reservation when it was not even our fault . I had to manage by myself everything! If you want your business to work my darling learn some customer service because sadly you are incapable to do it! I cannot call you receptionist/ oh maybe I spoke with the cleaner? Even the cleaner it’s more polite than you! Shame !!! You cannot allow people to book room and at 11PM call them to tell them there is not room. And even with little baby!

Cozy town the highlight of which is the Neanderthal Museum. Walk-able center and provides everything you should need for your stay.
Numerous and varied entertainment spots dotted around town - from Bars/Cafes/Restaurants/Bakery/dessert house/ a few museums/ Close to walking trails/ nearby winery, to list a few.
Also a central location to other various day trip little towns.

Hotel Trakoscan is located in perfect spot just next to beautiful medieval castell Trakoscan and lake, surrounded by nature. If you enjoy walking in any time of the year in the forest or lake shore, then this is perfect spot for your stay. Hotel has everything that one need, including spa and small swimming pool. But actual treat is nature and being part of it the moment you walk out of the hotel. Castell Taskoscan is open for visitors and it is really nice to visit. Nearby city Krapina is also worthwhile visiting.

We only stayed in Krapina for one night, twice, on our way South. This town is a little gem hidden in the mountains, rather quiet and slow, no traffic, etc. Neanderthal museum is fun. The views are awesome, mountains look amazing. Next time we'll be staying longer!!

Trakošćan castle is situated in a beautiful scenery, surrounded by forest and meadows. The lake beneath the castle is at the moment drained due to some maintenance. The castle itself is a interesting place to visit, it has medieval weaponry on display as well as representative residential and auxiliary rooms form the period.
