It’s close to the beach, deck chairs and towels included in the price, also wellness and fitness which we didn’t use because the weather was very nice. Staff was nice and chatty. Food tasted great and there was many options you could choose from. I would definitely recommend. It was a great stay

RomaniaThe hotel is impecable. Clean, with really nice staff, very well organized. We had half-board and the food was all through out very good. The location is great: sea front with sea view from almost every room, in a quiet area of Umag. Facilities were great: we had plenty to choose from (sea with concrete & stairs entry, pool, small public beach with sand and small water entrance, aquapark with activity team for kids, inflatable water park in walking distance, all kinds of water sports, tree park with shade in front of sea, enough sun beds, yoga in the morning or pool aerobics). Rooms were good size, with confortable beds, very well sound proofed. Short distance to Motovun, Groznjan, or Jama Grotta Beredine, Rovinj,Trieste. Evening events with music was tastefull and low key.

SloveniaGarden suites are positioned in a beautiful garden filled with Mediterranean plants. Our suite was big and had a balcony. It was near the beach and the main hotel where the breakfast and dinner are served (3 min walk to both).
Both breakfast and dinner had a lot of variety, and most of the food was very testy. Drinks were included in the price of half board.
Umag old town is a 30 min walk away.
Internet worked well.

I would say that overall impression is very good, appartement is spacious, clean, have enough dishes and cutlery, good swimming pool and sandy beach near by. Good and convenient parking space for standard car. I would underline that Internet is very weak which is quite strange nowdays (and it is not WIFI connection it is really internet, you can't watch video at all). There is a place for a washing machine in the bathroom, but there is no washing machine, which could be a nice thing to have especially when the residence is far from all the infrastructure. I would suggest to add drying racks, we took ours because we saw other tourists reports, the same is for the fan that we took from home to use upstairs. In general, we didn't use AC that much, but it depends how you are resistant to the hot during night time. We missed vacuum cleaner as well, because of the sand. Mop or brush don't help that efficient.

An incredible place! I truly recommend it to everyone. Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The room was spacious and consisted of two separate bedrooms – finally, our kids didn’t have to share one big bed, which made them really happy!
The view from the balcony was stunning, overlooking the sea.
Breakfasts were delicious and varied, with something new every day.
The seawater pool was fantastic – no eye irritation at all, and we could enjoy swimming in it for hours.
We will definitely come back! This is a unique place with a Michelin restaurant. And if you love pizza, there’s a nice little place just 5 minutes away where you can grab one to go. We had our pizza on the beach in the evening – it was magical!

Location - 5+ stars! I could look across the sea and see the snowy Alps. Quiet, lots of walking paths, beach access, parking. Pet friendly. I got a private olive oil tasting from the bartender - the staff were very friendly. Great price in the off-season!

Post season Umag seems like a cozy small town.
Post season Umag seems like a cozy small town. I expected more but then maybe my expectations were set too high considering its a popular destination for locals. Although I only stayed there for one night, I can't provide a comprehensive report but we did manage to walk around the city and resort complex. The location seems ideal for an activities holiday destination with a lot of parks and paths for walking/hiking, bike riding, etc.

Savudrija is a very small village with a couple of restaurants, and a couple of campings. If you are looking for a place to relax and from where to start daily adventures in other destinations, that's the place to be. Plus, it has several cycling paths.

It is a small calm village, but if you enjoy a larger city, Umag is just 5 km away. There you can find many different restaurants and supermarkets. It also has a very nice beach-walk with shops and restaurants, we even stayed for a free guitar concert that was happening at the time.

Calm place right by the sea with apartments and hotels. Very clean sea, nearby access suitable for swimmers, places better for small kids (shallow and send) easily reachable by car (max 3 km). Small supermarket at the locality, restaurants (but we did not visit them).

Lovrecica have a small but bery enjoyable beach. No sandy parts just pebbles and rocks, but the sea floor is walkable easily (shoes recommended). It is safe for children. Shower and toilet also present in the beach with bakery, fast food and bar. The beach could be a bit crowded during the weekend as it seems local leople choose this place for a day swiming and relaxing. Town is small, no grocery shops just a few restaurants, bakery and bar.
But a camp is nearby with free pass is you are not using the beach and have several grocery and other shops. Also Umag is very close by car and have supermarkets.

The location is simply amazing, since everything is close. Do you want to explore Istria? Slovenian Coast? Carst? Visit Ljubljana or Trieste? Jump in a car and you are there soon.
As for Basania/Savudria itself - the beach is simply amazing, with the pine trees providing shade during all day. The restaurants are also nice. It's a shame that Istria is so often underrated and overlooked, but in my opinion, it is much better place to visit that e.g. Dalmatia.

The town of Umag has a charming coastal feel particularly at the historic centre. There are plenty of food options, lovely sunsets and a motorised 'train' to transport people from their resorts and hotels to the town for only 4€. Prices overall are very reasonable compared to other European destinations.

I was there in the off-season, it's certainly very different when it's full of tourists and cars and kids and campers in summer. There's no supermarket but a small bakery selling fresh bread and produce. There's a local olive oil producer in town which was a delight to visit. Lots of excellent paths for walking along the coast. Views like a dream!

A quiet place, surrounded by olive groves and bike paths.

We liked Lovrecica but also the small villages and small tows along the coast. The interior of Istria is also worth a visit, with its historical sites, small typical restaurants offering good local cuisine. A lot of places to visit.
