The price of the room is decent, we even had an upgrade thanks to Booking. The room was large, clean, with a terrace and a very nice bathroom, it even has a coffee machine. What I have to mention is the parking, which costs €33 for 2 days, it is an underground garage with a limited number of parking spaces. If you're going to Segedin on weekends, I read somewhere that parking is free on weekends, so if that's true, you can also park in front of the hotel and save money (of course, be sure to check this information) What I have to emphasize - the staff is very friendly and the rooms are heated so that you might at some point wish it was a little less warm. Szeged is a great place.
Szeged is a great place. Lovely old buildings, the river, the bars and restaurants are great and generally its cultural activities are also very good. The location as such was chosen by us precisely for those reasons. Our mishaps at the hotel were not the town's fault. We ate dinner at the John Bull, which has fantastic food and excellent beers and wines. The service was great there and it was at walking distance from our hotel. Local transport is great. The city center is very pretty, full of flowers in the parks and nice cafes all around. We really liked the market with all the local produce. There are really nice little shops on Rakoczi Street. Many restaurants offer a 2 course menu at lunch time for really great price. The Benko Zoltan Park is a great place to go walking, running or to have a pic-nick The big hill in the middle has a great view from the top. Great place to visit and enjoy. Lots of activities and things to do in the SPA park. The fact that it is located in a park and there are lots of trees and green lawns is a big advantage, The food inside the park is tasty and quite affordable. The not-so-good aspect is that it is rather quiet in the evening, so it is not recommended for people who seek entertainment throughout the night. Hot springs were the best curative ever experienced. 20+ pools Restaurant is one of the best for an authentic Hungarian road house food experience. Staff are friendly. Room and facility was clean. Directly off the M5 motorway towards Budapest. Has free parking and 24 hour services. Safe as it has CCTV. Excellent restaurant and bar. Rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. We had our dog with us and she was facilitated too We all slept well as the room was sound proofed.Definitely great value for money . We stopped here on our way back from Greece. We were only in the center, which we were excited about! The central squares are connected. There is a beautiful Art Nouveau town hall, an Art Nouveau palace and several churches of different denominations.
