    Like that the beach was not as congested with human traffic compared to some other spots. Good stretch of walking trail along the beach. The beach itself has a lot of debris, perhaps due to aftermath of flood from week before. Wish there is more selection of local food. The Sidhu night market offers quite limited local food.

    I loved the natural weave of traffic, the kindness and respect of the Balinese people, and how hardworking they are. So much to offer, for all budgets. I have yet to discover more of Denpaser on my next visit.

    Great city to explore... wish we would have had more time to...

    Great city to explore... wish we would have had more time to look around. Everyone we met or talked to were very friendly and kind. Highly recommend. Be prepared to spend time in a vehicle as the traffic is a challenge at best. We went to one of the local malls, enjoying it immensely.

    I went to a restaurant: WARUNG KLUMPU DENPASAR very close to the hotel. They had excellent atmosphere good food and if I stayed longer I would have come back. So please try and experience it yourself!

    Sanur is very central and everything is close.

    Sanur is very central and everything is close. When you get off the brach, there is masses of really good food around, Some great restaurants at night that have bands and dancing. ICON Bali is upmarket, but it is lovely to look at and enjoy the wonderful air conditioning.

    Denpasar is often overlooked and yet has so much to offer.

    Denpasar is often overlooked and yet has so much to offer. There is history, culture, good food and places with open space, great views and room to walk if you know where to look. It's also a great base from which you can visit other areas and enjoy unique experiences with little travel time. If you are after a unique Balinese experience without wall to wall tourists, do a little research and you may find that Denpasar has a lot to offer.

    It was easy to get around but little to do nearby. A great turtle conservation centre that will keep most people occupied for up to an hour. It's very easy to get to the ports - one of the best port experiences I've had in Bali where you aren't overwhelmed by people trying to / demanding they order you taxis or sell you things.

    Sanur is upmarket these days with good food choices, and music venues, Beach is a short distance away. It is tidal. The boardwalk has plenty of action at the northern end, not much in the middle. The main street is a long one. The electric bus was a good idea but is not big enough and does not come often. We were there during reconstruction of sidewalks which will be good once finished. It's an area for mature holidaymakers, with all types of accommodation options.

    Absolutely loved Denpasar, you felt that you were amongst the local of Bali and it was nice to see this part of Bali. I would definitely recommend visit Denpasar and experience the true Bali and engage with the local Balinese and Indonesian people. We will love to visit here again.
