The staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially the fabulous sisters Josephine and Maggie who made our stay even more special. Lovely evening meal and a huge buffet breakfast. We stayed in the Shannon Suite which was huge with views across the grounds and a massive, comfortable bed. The swimming pool is in the leisure centre at the end of the driveway and we really appreciated free use of the facilities.Guest review bySaraIreland

We really enjoyed Limerick. The people were lovely.
We really enjoyed Limerick. The people were lovely. The food was great. The city centre is compact and easy to get around. The Treaty City Brewery was a high spot as were the Museum of Limerick (really helpful staff) and the People's museum (shared their enthusiasms with us). We enjoyed the street art very much.Guest review byRuthUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The Hosts were an absolute pleasure.
The Hosts were an absolute pleasure. The room was large, very clean and comfortable. The location was a perfect walking distance to town. Breakfast was excellent and on-site parking was free and convenient, I highly recommend this Inn.Guest review byMarinoUnited States - 4.0
New Castle West is not very interesting...
New Castle West is not very interesting... We spent one night on our way to the Cliffs of Moher and in retrospect I wish we had driven further. The hotel is kinda old, the bathroom felt like an hospital bathroom. No mini bar or fridge in the room. Very spacious room with spare furniture - they had the room to add a cabinet with fridge... Breakfast was good tho.Guest review byPhilippeUnited States - 8.0

Host was very kind, welcoming, had a lovely country feel all round, other than the bathroom which was modern, bed was very comfortable for my husband and I, breakfast was lovely you do have a choice of full Irish breakfast, or vegan, village is about 15 min walk down the road, but the walk is lovely with the view,Guest review byletteUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Croagh is a lovely small village and enhanced by the lodge garden centre and restaurant. great place to stop over for breakfast, snacks and drinks. Fantastic garden shop and garden centre. Incredible friendly and helpful staff (mainly family run). There are two wo pubs in village (no food). About 6 kilometers east,on N21 is the most amazing village of Adare. Its got everything, shops, bars , restaurants, and hotels, churches. its probable the pettiest village I have ever visited in this area.Guest review byPatsyUnited Kingdom - 8.0
It was quiet. No restaurant was a drawback.
It was quiet. No restaurant was a drawback. We went into Tarbert on recommendation of proprietor but The Swanky in Tarbert was nothing to write home about. The Knight's Walk nearby was worth doing.Guest review byMichaelIreland - 8.0

Clancy's pub and restaurant provided good range on menu for breakfast, lunch and supper. The pub contains display of owner's nephew's international referee neck ties in recognition of refereeing multiple international rugby matches including the first Rugby World Cup. Also rare framed signed copy by participants of the North of Ireland Good Friday Peace Agreement. Proprietor's father, Jack, is a mine of information about people and Bruff including the old RIC Barracks which had a cellar, now filled in but then had a tunnel to escape through if needed. The village itself is small but with picturesque surroundings and near to Lough Gur the important Archaeological site stretching back over 6,000 years with well presented Visitor CentreGuest review byNicholasIreland - 8.0

We stayed at Greenhills Hotel on the Ennis Road—great location with a bus stop just down the road that takes you straight into the city centre. Before dinner, we stopped by The White House for a few drinks. The Guinness was excellent, but I’d give the white wine a miss—not the best selection. The pub has a lovely traditional Irish vibe with some modern touches, making it a really pleasant spot. Dinner was at Freddy’s Restaurant, where the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. We wrapped up the evening at The Copper Room, a stylish underground wine bar with an impressive selection of wines, ports, and cheese boards. I’ll definitely be heading back there next time I’m in Limerick! Best part? All of these spots were just a stone’s throw from each other, making it super easy to enjoy a full evening out without needing to travel far.Guest review byHelenIreland - 10.0

Tourists can't enter Adare Manor unless they stay overnights or dine at two different restaurants. We booked breakfasts and then walked around to enjoy the beautiful scenery and atmosphere inside. It was a fantastic morning in Adare.Guest review byShu Jyun HsuUnited Kingdom - 8.0
We came to visit family.
We came to visit family. The hotel is so convenient to everything. NCW is a great base for touring around - Tralee and Killarney not far one way and Adare and Limerick the other. There is a bus stop outside the hotel to get you to either of them. People are nice and friendly here but town needs a bit of livening up. Many empty buildings. Lovely boutiques and some lovely small individual shops there. We had fish & chips in the square very nice and coffee in a little coffee shop in a mall.Guest review byCatherineIreland
