We stayed in one of the cabins with a direct view of the Sea. The room was spacious and comfortable. There even was a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates waiting for us (too bad we're teetotalers). While En Gev is not the center of the universe, we were able to take most enjoyable day trips south as far as Bet Shean and north to the Golan Heights. This is a happening place, with a large variety of restaurants, sightseeing and activities. Best to stay at a nice seafront hotel. Do not skimp on good accommodations. We were there for business, so our choice of hotel was not optimal. Next time, I'll stay at a tourist luxury hotel, even if I am not there as a tourist. The Moshav is situated in an excellent and scenic location above the Sea of Galilee. Perfect location for touring the Upper Galilee panhandle and the Golan Heights. There are two convenience stores, a small food-truck cafe, and two excellent restaurants in the Moshav. Many friendly home-owners have B&B cabins. For us it was the ideal place for cycling in the area. You can do climbs to the Golan Heights, visit the Druze villages in the area, etc. You can also circle the Sea of Galilee for a flatter experience, spend time in Tiberias, etc. Many restaurants within a 30 minute drive. Location in the foot hills of the Golan with wonderful views of the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee), Small village with small grocery store. Easy access to all of the historic sites in the Galilee. The accommodation is basic, kibbutz country lodging-style. The staff are very helpful. Excellent location near key sightseeing sites. Private beach with lifeguarded lake swimming area, separate swimming pool available, gym, local lakeside walks, very good breakfasts. Good WiFi.
