This is probably one of the best Breakfast I had during my visit to Iceland. It almost had every types of food. +perfect place to see the Northern lights if it comes. While checking in , the receptionist asked us if we want a wake up call to our room if the Northern lights occur during the middle of the night. This was a fantastic option. +Petrol/diesel station is right next to this place. Very very useful to fuel up our cars for the next day's long trip. +toilets and bathroom are very clean.Guest review byAnandhakumar PalanisamyNorway
- From US$229.59 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 689 reviewsGreat place to hunt for northern lights. Cosy room, although very small. Super hot radiators, which in winter saved our life :). Although the breakfast is in the village, there was a common room opposite our building where there were tables and all necessary kitchen facilities to prepare your own meal or something hot to drink. Very well equipped. We came late at night, the reception was closed, but the room key was left for us plus directions to the room. Breakfast in the village restaurant very nice. The place is right behind the post office (google maps show you a route round the whole village, don't know why).Guest review byDOROTAPoland
- From US$212.75 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,528 reviewsWe stayed in a Superior King room and loved it! The room is spacious, nicely decorated, with all the needed amenities. It’s located a bit further away from two main blocks, and thus is quieter. A great bed with a selection of pillows (my neck was complaining after several hotels offered only very think pillows), a sitting area and well heated bathrooms (we stayed in Jan, it was important :) Loved the restaurant of the property. The breakfast was very nice, the dinner selection coould be bigger / different, but the dishes we ended up trying were good.Guest review byAnnaPortugal

We didnt sleep as we enjoy the Aurora and the lake view in our beds for whole night.Guest review bySIUHong Kong

We visited all the famous sites
We visited all the famous sites The Thermal baths was great. A big area (and currently expanding). The restaurant there was very reasonably priced for Iceland. They made a great coffee. Food was good. Went to the geothermal site which was pretty amazing. We hiked up Hverfjall, theextinct volcano which was interesting. Went to Dentifoss and Selfoss which were very impressive We enjoyed our stay. Well worth a visitGuest review byLawsonAustralia - 10.0

I’m 2/3 of circumnavigating Iceland, and I have to say that this area is the weirdest landscape yet—in a good way. In a small area there are extinct volcanoes, steaming hillsides, lakes with strange lava 'islands', ethereal mountains…….. so strange. So beautiful. Highly recommended.Guest review byThorCanada - 10.0

Spent a day and a half in the Lake Mývatn area. Loved it.
Spent a day and a half in the Lake Mývatn area. Loved it. There is so much to see and do: crater hikes, thermal baths, geothermal areas, bird watching, lava features. And just overall, it has beautiful views of farms and countryside. Both relaxing and exciting. Could easily spent another couple of days without it feeling repetitive.Guest review byMarkUnited States - 8.0
Nice getaway - quiet and cozy athmosphere.
Nice getaway - quiet and cozy athmosphere. Close to the main attractions at Myvatn. Great breakfast buffet. Restaurant offers little choices but what they have is good and homemade (f.ex lamb and trouts are home-breed).Guest review byAllanDenmark
