- From US$235.62 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 140 reviewsA great place to stay to visit the surrounding towns, Locorotondo, Alberobello, Cisternino, Martina Franca. And also only 30 min from Polignano a Mare and Monopoli. The room was great, with a wonderful private porch. The property is very beautiful and apart from visiting the towns around you can also relax in the wonderful pool and also the common living room and greenery. Breakfast is cooked at the hour you choose and is ready for you with what you chose the night before. All the staff is vey nice and helpful, giving you all the information you need and ask for. And the suggestions for lunch and dinner were all great: 5 stars. They even arranged for the restaurant bookings. Thank you Manuele and Luciana at the reception and also Francesca at breakfast!! We had un unforgettable stay and loved every minute!!!Guest review byAlexandraPortugal
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.9Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 93 reviewsElegant and luxurious stay. Staff very helpful and polite. The room was comfortable and they did housekeeping twice a day. The property is so green and has comfortable sitouts everywhere. The infinity pool is amazing and so is the thermal spa which was complimentary. They even gave us a farewell gift of tomato sauce and pasta which we loved. This clearly is one of my best stays ever - i have stayed across 5 stars over the world but this experience is the most memorable and i will always remember. Thanks Team Monastero S & R!Guest review byShreyaIndia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 24 reviewsMe and my boyfriend stayed for a long weekend in May at this beautiful, truly private, magical place and we had the best time. The people, especially the host, Adriano, were extremely kind, warm and welcoming, it was hard to leave. The property is stunning, a dreamy place with history, the rooms we saw (we had to switch at some point) were very classy and beautiful. The perfect place to charge batteries, also, incredible food. I am absolutely thrilled and will hopefully be able to come back some time!Guest review byAntoniaGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 730 reviewsReturning to Città del Mare after 30 years was pure joy, this time as a mother of four. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, with stunning sea views. The resort is huge, full of beautiful gardens and greenery. Our kids absolutely loved the famous toboggan into the sea, and the pools kept everyone happy. The animation team made sure there were fun, varied programs for all ages. A perfect family holiday - we all enjoyed every moment!Guest review byTimeaHungary

Naples is, at its core, a pretty cool city, but full of striking contrasts. On the one hand, the traffic is absolute chaos, and the historic quarter, while being the heart of the city, is, unfortunately, poorly maintained. However, if we manage to look past these issues, the experience is rewarding. The food, that is spectacular (the birthplace of pizza does not disappoint!), the people are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the most modern area of the city is impeccable and well-maintained. Overall, it is a city with a vibrant spirit and top-tier gastronomy, which is worth visiting, as long as you are prepared for the hustle and bustle.Guest review byHugoPortugal - 6.0
Palermo is a big city for Sicily.
Palermo is a big city for Sicily. It has great local markets and incredible sights, but we spent 6 nights in Sicily (which was arguably too short), three of which were in Catania and three were in Palermo. For our family, it would have been nice to find a place in a small seaside town near the water and to do a couple day trips into the city, but would have been nice to have beach time. While City was beautiful, there was a lot of graffiti and a certain grunge that was disappointing in both Catania and Palermo. We did go to Siracusa and Taurmina each of which might have been nicer bases to stay on the east side of the Island.Guest review byCyranUnited States - 8.0

We did a walking food tour our first evening and it was really great way to see the center of the city, and find out more about the foods. We stayed for three nights but felt like we could have spent another evening, as we did a day trip to Siracusa and a day trip to Mt Etna/Tourmina so we didn't have enough time in Catania to appreciate it. That being said, many of the streets had graffiti on the walls as well as garbage on the sides of the streets, so it was not a clean city.Guest review byCyranUnited States - 10
Lots to see and do.
Lots to see and do. Did walking tour with pasta making experience and a sunset street food tour. Both were very good. Did not have much time for shopping but could easily have spent another day there for that. Lots of info about celebrations in May and Dec that we found intriguing and would not mind coming back for either of the festivals.Guest review bysusan - 6.0

Sorrento is more affordable than other spots on the Amalfi coast, but the huge drawback is that it is overly tourist-focused (Irish pubs?!) and you hear English spoken everywhere. The main avenue feels more like Las Vegas than an Italian coastal town. :(Guest review byNancy - 10
My rating is for the island of ortigia in Siracusa.
My rating is for the island of ortigia in Siracusa. I visited one night and one afternoon, stayed at a hotel 10 min drive from Ortigia that had free parking since we had a car which was good because we did a day trip to Noto and Modica. Oritigia was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by water, beautiful buildings and architecture, great shops and restaurants and they had nice fountains, old ruins and the castle. A MUST SEE when you are in Sicily.Guest review byJenniferCanada - 10

Matera is a breathtaking city carved into ancient stone — a place where history, art, and raw beauty meet. Walking through its cave dwellings and sunlit alleys feels like stepping into another time. It’s a must-see for anyone who loves authenticity, stunning views, and unforgettable atmosphere.Guest review byFrancesca RomanaUnited States - 10

The location of Casa Gialla was a great spot to tour Taormina The place was very clean and well cared for and neatly appointed. We enjoyed our stay very much. Maruen, who takes care of the property met us and exceeded our expectations. He was very helpful in helping us get settled in and answering any questions we had about the place and the city. Definitely recommend this nice stay and will definitely go back.Guest review byRochUnited States - 10
