- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 93 reviewsThe hotel garden was incredible and the whole setting picture perfect! A generous breakfast was provided on a lovely piazzetta under the trees, the menu and wine list at the restaurant were very good, the bars and the pool/sea area were all generously setup. The golf cart provided was most useful given how the hotel is set on the side of the mountain and climbing between levels can be quite taxing. Most importantly, the entire staff but especially the golf cart driver and the restaurant staff, were extremely helpful and courteous.Guest review byDeborahItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 323 reviewsProbably one of the finest boutique hotel experiences we’ve had. The location is fantastic, but what made it so great was the hotel itself. The attention to detail of the decor, the friendliness of the staff, the views….i could go on. I think a travel magazine should visit and do an article on the hotel. I could get lost looking at the ceramics, the art and the stunning flowers.Guest review byStewartCanada

Having a balcony overlooking the sea was calming and beautiful even though it was a little windy. All of the staff members were helpful and kind. The breakfast had a huge variety. - From $62.46 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 25,857 reviewsThe bangalow is so comfortable, clean , the location is calm, the stuff is helpful. It's easy to access to the center of Rome by public transport or take the shuttle from the camping. The breakfast is so delicious . Just to let you know that the pool opens from 11h to 17h so this is the only disappointment. I recommend this place +++Guest review byDanyBelgium

My first trip back to Rome since I was last there in the...
My first trip back to Rome since I was last there in the 1970's so much more congestion and much higher prices, of course. Our original plan was to stay outside the city proper and commute in by train on a daily basis but nagging travel related coughs and colds caused us to just stay in the hotel and recover, and we couldn't have found a better place to do that than here. The Fiumicino Airport is not easy to navigate and rental car access is complicated, plus the traffic is a major issue during the rush hour periods. We were in bumper to bumper, barely moving traffic in a taxi getting from rental car return to the hotel around 5 PM, a trip that took over an hour to go less than 10 miles. Same trip took 10-15 minutes mid-day a few days later.Guest review byRichardUnited States - 10

The walk from the Diana Home Rome FCO to the restaurants is only 5 min. The shop owners are amazingly friendly and helpful. The restaurants are famous for their fresh seafood, and of course everything Italian. It's safe and beautiful and a tremendously coveted place to be. Ask the host about setting up reservations, or day trip info, she is exceptionally accommodating beyond any other place we visited. I will forever promote this place. I call my "Happy place" It's a 5 star all the way around. clean environment, secure, helpful and caring people, and super great value. Smiles, and love surrounds this place. I wish I could move here...I could market it 100%Guest review byJasonUnited States - 8.0
I have stayed here several times before cruises.
I have stayed here several times before cruises. In the "gothic" area within remains of old city wall are several modestly priced family owned restaurants. My favorite has become "Count Zeno" . The Catholic Church at end of street has a wonderful history of giving appropriate respect and prayerful burials of bodies found along beach and outside the walls. The interior is a jewel box with esquisite art work. Liturgy was well celebrated Sunday Masses were full with varied congregation and there are evening weekday Masses. The central Market is worth a visit and since you have a well stocked kitchen at your disposal, it's easy to prepare yourself meals. Many good bakeries in area. The restaurants along the waterfront are overpriced. Seafood is expensive and they cater to tourists. There are several well stocked and well priced wine shops where you can good excellent wines to enjoyGuest review byRobertUnited States - 10

I don't think many people think of "going to the beach" in Rome, but it's only about 30 minutes away and costs $1.50 by public transit. The town itself is a little slow when not in high beach season, but there are loads of restaurants and shops to keep you busy if the beach isn't your thing. Public transport is great. And, you can visit incredible recently unearthed Roman Ruins of Ostia Antica very easily.Guest review byMichelle KinchUnited States - 10

I have visited Viterbo a number of times and love walking around the historical centre. I use Viterbo as my base to visit towns and sites nearby as I don't drive, so it is very convenient and well serviced by Cotral bus services to the different places.Guest review byAnneAustralia - 10

Villa d’Este was amazing and had waterfalls to rival Palace of Versailles. The walk through Villa Gregoriana gardens down the side of the hill to the bottom of the waterfalls was a solid hike and not for the feeble. Definitely take a couple of hours to visit Hadrian’s Villa (aka Villa Adriana) which had amazing historical half crumbling palace and ornamental lake.Guest review bySharee F.Australia - 8.0
Frascati is a small, pleasant town with a good range of bars...
Frascati is a small, pleasant town with a good range of bars, restaurants, cafes and gelateria. A taxi from Ciampino airport takes 20-30 minutes and costs €50-60. It is a particularly good place to stay if you want to be near Rome but not actually staying in the city. Eating out is much cheaper and the town is relatively quiet and relaxed. As a bonus, the transport links are excellent. Rome is just 30 minutes or so by train from a small station right in the centre, with trains every hour on weekdays and every two hours on Sundays. And nearby places of interest such as Castel Gandolfo, Ariccia and Velletri, are accessible by regular buses from the main square (Piazza Marconi).Guest review byJonathanUnited Kingdom - 10

During my visit to Gaeta, I was truly impressed by several places in this charming coastal town. I especially loved walking along the seaside promenade and the beautiful avenue of plane trees—it was very relaxing and scenic. The old town with its colorful streets and historic buildings was also a highlight. For a quick bite or a casual meal, there are plenty of great options. I particularly enjoyed the local cafés and restaurants where you can try fresh seafood and traditional Italian dishes. There are also small grocery stores nearby if you prefer to grab something on the go. Getting around Gaeta is quite easy. The town is compact, so most places can be reached on foot, and it’s very pleasant to explore the streets at a leisurely pace. For families with young children, I would highly recommend visiting the beaches, which are clean and safe. A walk along the promenade or a visit to the Spanish Fortress on Monte Orlando is also fun and manageable with kids. The town has a relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for families to enjoy both sightseeing and leisure time together.Guest review byЖаннаUkraine - 10
