The view from the balcony was amazing and the apartment was clean and as expected. The supermarket across the street is very impressive - lot's of stuff, decent prices and fresh veggies, delis etc. The ski resort was great - we were three families with everything from false beginners to advanced skiers and we were able to ski together most of the time (the advanced ones going "off piste" and the beginners staying on the blue slopes. The room and bathroom were huge, very clean, the location of the agriturismo is amazing and I can definitely recommend the dinner. The dinner costs 25,- eur per person but is worth much more. Roberta and her family primarily use the ingredients which they produce themselves and you definitely taste it. Fresh, healthy and delicious! When you book this place make sure to drop a message to Roberta and ask her to add the dinner, you need to reserve it separately. We arrived by train at a beautiful but mostly abandoned train station (unfortunate because it is a beauty!!) Town is on a surfboard-shaped plateau with beautiful bridges that access it by car or train. I did a walk around the whole plateau and was awe-struck by the beautiful old buildings and surrounding valleys. Plenty of coffee shops and cafes/restaurants if you don't want to eat at your hotel. Mondovi is a a little crown jewel of Italy, very nice old town on two levels. a lot of history is contained within its walls. Make sure to visit the upper level too, landmarked by the Belvedere clock tower. Don't miss out the Dolcetto Langhe and local wines ! The place is packed with history walking through main street put you back in time. Explore the little side streets and having a hard time to decide where to have lunch or dinner. The weekly street market is something you don't want to miss. In short ; a city not very well known, but you don't want to miss. Mondovi is very clean and most buildings well kept. Shopping and restaurants and cafes were plentiful, and prices were very reasonable. We encountered no other tourists, which was nice, but we sometimes had difficulty communicating because we don’t speak Italian.
