- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 241 reviewsA stunning hotel, located a few hundred meters from the busy center of Amalfi, the view from the hotel is like the most beautiful painting, we got a very beautiful room, full of stylish lamps and accessories, with an amazing view. The hotel has its own beach, which is not common on the Amalfi Coast, you can spend a day right by the sea. The hotel has two restaurants, including one right next to the beach, the Amalfi and sea view from the restaurant is amazing. Excellent breakfasts, service, everything. There is also a small souvenir shop and very beautiful handmade jewelry. Amazing place!Guest review byEwaPoland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 67 reviewsThis is a lovely resort for a family holiday. Right on a lovely beach, we had a very comfortable apartment. It is in a small secluded area but a 20 minute walk (up steps but manageable) brings you to the lovely town of Vico Equense. There is also a shuttle bus almost every hour up to the train station. From the train it was v easy to get to Pompeii or Sorrento. (Using the local Circumvesuviana train route). It is also handy for trips to Capri or along Amalfi coast. Restaurant on site is spectacular, and there are 2 or 3 other good options next door.Guest review bySusanIreland

Sorrento is more affordable than other spots on the Amalfi coast, but the huge drawback is that it is overly tourist-focused (Irish pubs?!) and you hear English spoken everywhere. The main avenue feels more like Las Vegas than an Italian coastal town. :(Guest review byNancy - 8.0
Sorrento was the place we loved the most in Amalfi.
Sorrento was the place we loved the most in Amalfi. Everywhere in Amalfi is absolutely scenic but the number of tourists can be over whelming at times as you have to queue up for a very long time for local buses and ferries etc...Guest review byMahendraSri Lanka - 10
Love Positano, our second time visiting.
Love Positano, our second time visiting. However, very crowded in September and can be overwhelming. Great place for a few days, especially when planning to explore nearby towns, including Capri. One of our favorite restaurants that we returned to on this trip, which is still incredible is Donna Rosa, which is just up the hill from Positano.Guest review byLeslieSUnited States - 10
Maiori is lovely, spread out and calm.
Maiori is lovely, spread out and calm. There are plenty of shops to poke about in and even more restaurants and gelato places to sample. We loved the cleanliness and safety of the sidewalks. It felt spacious.Guest review bySandraCanada - 10

We stayed in the hills of Vico Equense at Villa Rosa and went to the town for a day. It was a charming town with incredible views. For those travelers going to Sorrento, I would recommend taking a stop in Vico Equense. For those who want truly incredible food, I would highly recommend having dinner at Villa Rosa.Guest review byBrianUnited States - 10
Ravello is fantastic. So quiet - much preferable to Amalfi.
Ravello is fantastic. So quiet - much preferable to Amalfi. Steep. Lots of walking. A lovely village by night with some great food. Mimis is just a fantastic restaurant with excellent an menu and wonderful staff. The meals are amazing! Several small shops which have all required if self catering. Walk the back streets. Such a photogenic town. Really pleasant in evenings when many return to Amalfi or to ferries.Guest review byJezAustralia - 8.0
Agerola provides an escape from the tourist busy towns on...
Agerola provides an escape from the tourist busy towns on the Amalfi coast. It is higher in elevation than the towns of Amalfi, Positano and Maiori. These towns are port towns and in the busy travel months are always full of tourists. However, there is more to do in these towns than in Agerola, and if you plan to only stay in one of those towns, only go between 2 close towns, spend your vacation time on the beach, then I would recommend to stay in one of the coast towns. If you want a more central point to all of these and other towns (ex. Sorrento, Ravello, etc...) and plan to travel each day to a new town and a quiet place to rest at night, then Agerola is a great place to stay. If you stay in Agerola and since the roads are one lane both ways, you have to factor in travel times to all other towns (in case you need to catch a ferry, have dinner reservations, etc...).Guest review byHarryUnited States - 10

Castellammare di Stabia is a normal working town and much less touristy compared to Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. It has great views across the Bay of Naples towards Mount Vesuvius. It is on the Circumvesuviana train line, so easy to get into Naples, Pompeii and Sorrento without a car. It was a very friendly and welcoming place. There are quite a few restaurants to choose from, although opening days and times were a bit erratic.Guest review byJuliaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Lots of ceramic shops selling almost the same items. many good restaurants within walking distance. Arrive by train then take the accensore (elevator) down to the town - the lift-well is lined with blue tiles and fish. Gorgeous. The ferry stops down at the bay and bus 68 takes you up to the town for 1.4euro. Buy the ticket from the ladies in the ceramic shop near the bus stop before you board and validate on the bus.Guest review byPamelaAustralia - 10
Beautiful and quiet place. Highly recommended.
Beautiful and quiet place. Highly recommended. If you plan to use local buses to get to Sorrento and/or Amalfi, be warned about the general complexity of Southern Italy bus routes. Do your homework and talk to locals, less you want to spend hours on the side of the road!Guest review byÜloEstonia
