There's an physical rehabilitation center in the town, mostly seniors who are ill. With 270 deg of fabulous often snow covered mountains, I wouldn't want to get well too quickly. Fantastic location for family skiing. Saves you driving to the lifts. Most of the lifts and slopes connect so good choice of runs and making good value of ski pass. This is a lovely town with lots of little shops to potter around. The hot chocolate and cakes in Piccolo Bar amazing! People in general were very friendly. Nice restaurants and Pizzerias.
