Great and interesting city.
Great and interesting city. Been there before, many years ago, and wanted to see it again. The piazza Il Campo is fantastic - the most odd and beautiful square in Italy and maybe in Europe. Go up to the top of the tower and see it from above, amazing! Just to bad that the horserace Il Palio was in July and August, that would have been a great experience.Guest review byTommySweden - 10.0

San Gimignano is a medieval town which is very popular with Italian tourists as well as other EU/US visitors. It's like stepping back in time as everywhere is so original and dripping with age. There are plenty of shops selling quality foods, ceramics, fabrics, art, bakeries and even a potter who will make a pot in front of your eyes - in fact everything you can think of! Plenty of nice restaurants from simple pizzerias to Michelin starred will cater for every taste and budget. There are a number of old towers you can climb which will give you a wonderful birds eye view of the surrounding Tuscan countryside, but if you don't want to climb then a leisurely stroll around the ancient streets is a cultural treat.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Amazing , accomodation great with a bar next door. Many good restaurants walking distance. We walked to everything we needed as we were in the old town. A great base for visiting surrounding towns and winery’s. ,Guest review byKarenAustralia - 10.0

Pienza is a fantastic hilltop town with wonderful views over the Val D'Orcia valley. It has wonderful streets, restaurants, and historical sites to explore. My morning coffee and croissant in Piazza Magiore will stay in my memory for a long time. You have to go back there and basta :)Guest review byPawełPoland - 6.0
Beautiful Tuscan town.
Beautiful Tuscan town. But the two main churches are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, if you can believe it... Better stay in Peinza or Montepulciano. But Sant'Antimo Abbey, 10 kms away, is a world wonder.Guest review byChristopheFrance - 2.0

The Grand hotel in Chianciano Terme' this is the hotel' we booked by international standards this should be a 1 star hotel with a warning do not book this hotel. The hotel is very outdated filled with a foul smell. The rooms & bathrooms lacks basic renovations and mould is every where in the bathroom. The breakfast is very poor offering basic and cheap shop bought cereals mostly reheated frozen pastries, the coffee machine broke down. The hotel charged us for rooms with no restraint, the hotel should have closed down a long time ago, it is no longer fit for purpose. I advise people not to go to the hotel do not waste your money & precious memories, we came back with insect bites all over our bodies. The photos of the hotel does not reflect the reality.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10.0
I have been to Tuscany more times than I can count.
I have been to Tuscany more times than I can count. This is my first time stopping in and staying in Colle di Val d'Elsa. The location is very close to all the major sites in Tuscany. Volterra and San Gimignano are extremely closeby as well as Chianti. There is a charm to the old town area of Colle di Val d'Elsa, not a ton of tourists like the other sites in the area.Guest review byD. CaronanItaly - 8.0
The apartement was even nicer than pictures.
The apartement was even nicer than pictures. There was oil and a bit of vinegar as well as salt and pepper. It would have been nice to have a few more amenities. The pool looked really nice but we did not have time to take advantage of it. Check in was easy even though we arrived very late at night. Same for the check out.Guest review byPatriciaCanada - 10.0

Fantastic little town with tonnes of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The museum ticket is great value as it gets you into lots of the historic sights. We enjoyed the weaponry exhibit as you were allowed to hold and try on the different artefacts which was cool! We parked nearby and paid with card on exit (only line up at the ticket machine if you’re paying cash). The onsite wine shop (connected to the popular winery near by) was delicious too. Would definitely recommend this town for people to visit and dine at!Guest review byLyndalAustralia - 8.0
THE GOOD : The location is great, close to the Val D'orcia.
THE GOOD : The location is great, close to the Val D'orcia. The amenities of this property are good, rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious enough. The bathroom etc was great. Breakfast was also pretty good, though they could improve their bread selections. THE NOT GOOD : Staff is difficult to get hold of and are not very helpful/friendly. This is compounded by the fact that (if you speak English), they are not very conversant in English. THE BAD : We had specifically requested rooms to be close by but instead we were given rooms that were a 5 mins walk through hallways, elevators and literally on opposite ends of the property.Guest review byKuntalUnited States
