- From $314.57 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 693 reviewsSo close to the station, very convenient. My room looked exactly like in the picture w/ a beautiful sea view of Amanohashidate & the bay. I stayed there in July, during summer, and the AC was super cold, which I really appreciated. In the bathroom they have make up cleanser, toner, lotion by Pola very convenient. They also provide some product for men, shaving cream, aftershave & lotion. I also enjoyed the foot onsen at the back of the hotel, really relaxing. The garden at the back also offers a gorgeous sea view, perfect for unwinding. There’s a nice restaurant just a one-minute walk away, located on the second floor above a shop that sells food, sweets & knickknacks. It’s also easy to access the temple, ferry tour station and some charming little shops nearby. Don’t forget to stop by a lovely cafe right by the water, it's overlooking the rotating red bridge, they serve lovely desserts.Guest review byNindiyaIndonesia
- From $226.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,044 reviewsThe hotel is about 20 minutes on foot from Kyoto Station, but around 8 minutes to the nearest subway station. It's only one stop on the subway from Kyoto Station. The rooms were small, but very cute! Each room has a record player and one record. You can check-out vinyls from downstairs as well. Breakfast was decent! They let you choose from a waffle or a bagel, and then you choose the other things yourself. My colleague and I LOVED the free ice cream every night. It was amazing.Guest review byBethanyJapan
- From $321.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,277 reviewsLocation, location, location. This hotel is across the street from Kyoto Station and Aeon Mall is around the corner so it's ideal. Our twin rooms were in the main building so they were slightly dated but for the price that we paid, that is to be expected. The main thing is the rooms were very clean. People also may find a lack of floor space for everyone to open up luggage if you are in the main building. Hotel staff are very courteous and helpful.Guest review byEileenUnited States

Miyazu which includes Amanohashidate, is one of three natural sites in Japan. The land bridge spans across the sea is fun to view from the observation points (on both sides) and you can actually bike (20 minutes) or walk (50 minutes) one way across. A small town with lots of charm and beauty.Guest review byAmyCanada - 8.0

The staff was awesome! They did everything in their power to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Room is extremely small by US standards! Room could use a microwave, the only one available was on the ground floor and I was on the 7th.Guest review byMarkGermany - 10.0

Kameoka is the starting point of the famous and historical Hozu River rafting ride that takes you to Arashiyama, home of the famous bamboo forest. Gionmachi is a wonderful section of Kyoto and offers much to see and experience. It is easy, maybe 15 to 20 minutes taxi to other areas of Kyoto that are also beautiful, historical and traditional. Overall, this is a place I would come back to because I have much more to see.Guest review byAlanUnited States - 10.0
We loved Kyoto.
We loved Kyoto. We loved the people and the food and the beauty. We started with an e-bike tour of the city which helped orient us to the landscape, history, and culture. Google maps had bus and train routes and times, which helped immensely with transportation. We took taxis a few times when bus service wasn't timely, and the fees were very reasonable. Kyoto was hot and humid, but dressing in free flowing, cotton clothes, using sun umbrellas like the locals, and drinking lots of water with electrolytes made life fairly comfortable. Our favorite outings were the river boat ride down the Hazugawa River, really fun and a chance to see some back country, and climbing up Mt Inari through the Thousand Torii Gates. We climbed in the late afternoon and returned down the steps in the twilight, a truly magical experience. Bring lots of water and plenty of energy. It's a long way up.Guest review byRuthUnited States - 10.0
I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas.
I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas. If you are sightseeing in Kyoto, Nara, or Osaka for a few days, staying at this facility and using Kameoka as your base will be the best way to travel to Kansai. Like taking a day trip from your home. If your schedule is 2 nights and 3 days or 3 nights and 4 days, it is definitely a good deal even if you add transportation expenses. You can't stay in a house in Kyoto or Nara.Guest review byeltopoJapan - 10.0

I loved this hotel!!! The service was outstanding. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The location was perfect - close to town but not in town. We walked everywhere and felt very safe. Close to the train station as well. I will certainly stay here on my next trip to Kyoto.Guest review byCatherineUnited States - 10.0

The people of Kyoto were very friendly despite what is often written online about the city being too crowded and having too many tourists. My only regret was the weather - which at the time was exceptionally hot and overcast. I would highly recommend visiting during the month of October rather than September.Guest review byPeterCanada
