It's not exactly a sight seeing city, more for business (Oil and Gas) which was the aim of my visit. Food is good! English is not widely spoken so best to know some Russian or Kazakh or have a local friend/ partner, but you can get by mostly. Download InDriver app to get good rates on taxis, or Yandex or Uber!
