Yes, there are not as many restaurant options in the area as in Arugam Bay and you may have to take a TukTuk to town if you wish to have that. The rooms are reasonably sized, comfortable, airconditioned and offer a very large bathroom. The surrounding area is peaceful and quiet. WIFI is fast and works in most areas. The pool area lies next to the beach, with enough shady spots under the palm trees to relax on one of the sunbeds. The closest surf spot is Pottuvil point, about a 15 minute walk on the beach. STAFF & SERVICE The whole staff of the resort is kind, very attentive, always friedly and available at any time. The resort team make sure that you feel well and cared for 24 hours a day. We never received a “no“ to any of our requests. Whether you need your laundry done, any extras for your room or a TukTuk-ride to Arugam Bay - Raja and his team will take care of it. HYGIENE & CLEANING The rooms were clean and well prepared upon arrival. Towels and bedsheets are changed every 5 days or upon request. Room cleaning also takes place every 5 days or upon request. Yes, you will find the occational bug or gecko in your room - you are staying in a very natural area of Sri Lanka (you may even see elephants in the area). Yes, you will encounter some crows or stray dogs in the restaurant & pool area - it is simply part of living in such an area. If you‘re looking for a luxurious 5-Star experience with daily room service and without having to lift a finger - you may want to book somewhere else. Room Quality: I stayed in a Deluxe Room — it was super clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The view was amazing, surrounded by natural forest which added a peaceful and relaxing vibe. Food and Dining: They offered a different style of breakfast every day, along with fresh juice. The taste was absolutely delicious and satisfying. Service and Cleanliness: Both the room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, and the entire property was well-maintained. The staff were active 24/7, always friendly and helpful. Beautifully presented hotel right on the beach, with a large clean pool and sun loungers around it and on the beach for private hotel usage. The rooms were simple but comfortable with fans and AC and everything you need for your stay. Everything was kept immaculate and clean and we could ask for fresh towels and sheets as often as we liked. The hotel staff also provided you with towels for the pool / beach, welcome drink on arrival, accommodated our request for a early check in, and arranged for a special meal close by as we had just got engaged. Wonderful location, really excluded, fantastic views. Great and very helpful staff. Rooms are spacious, well equipped, very clean, so are the bathrooms. We had there everything we needed. Tasty and full breakfasts. You can eat lunch and dinner at the villa and I don't agree that they are overpriced, as some guests mentioned in their opinions. Dishes were tasty and various, priced as in an average restaurant in Arugam Bay. You are more likely to meet a European than a local here. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants.
