Hotel is very clean, the cleanest hotel we stayed in Sri Lanka. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Dinner was great, chef Shalom prepared very tasteful fish and prawns. They also prepared special meal for our daughter, everything was delicious. Shalom and Shashi were very nice and helpful. They provide us late check out. We felt there like at home. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room and bathroom were spacious, well designed and impeccably clean -- we really appreciated the attention to details and the additional functionality offered by the daybed, the small desk, the armchairs as we were travelling with our tween and also had to do some work while on vacation. The pool was lovely - it is a good size and none of us had red eyes from chlorination. The beach the property opens onto is gloriously clean and we had it entirely to ourselves most of the time. The cafe served up delicious food but their menu offers only a few Sri Lankan dishes. At our request, the kitchen was only too happy to whip up Sri Lankan meals -- prawn and fish curries, traditional coconut sambol, dhals, gotukala salad, okra salad, ridge gourd in coconut milk, star bean stir fry, eggplant gojju, Sri Lankan pancakes with ice cream, watalapam .... these were by far the best meals we enjoyed during the entirety of our holiday and we would heartily recommend visitors to Lankavatara sample the Sri Lankan meals. The staff are very well informed and helpful and did everything they could to make our stay a memorable one -- from organising tuktuks, catamaran rides in the Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary and turtle watching or airport transfers.

Our stay at Art Yala Boutique Resort was absolutely wonderful! Muda and his team went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The food was amazing, and the location is simply stunning—perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the safari into Yala National Park that Muda organised for us. It was a seamless and memorable experience. The team’s thoughtfulness didn’t stop there—they even helped us book a restaurant at our next destination, which was incredibly helpful and kind. We stayed for two nights and genuinely wished we had stayed longer. Thank you, Muda and team, for such a fantastic experience. We can’t wait to come back!

Incredible host who took os out on a really nice evening tour! He arranged the safari for us the next day where we saw a leopard and elephant! He helped us get transportation to Mirissa as well the next day for a really good price! The view was beautiful and food was good. The location was a bit remote but really nice if you’re doing a safari. Can’t recommend enough:)

I feel very lucky to stay at Nalin’s place. I highly recommend it! It was the best place during my trip. The room was very clean, the mattress was comfortable. We got 5 star service here. Nalin was very kind and nice, prepared everything I asked for, hot water for shower, fruit and blanket. He also brought us to see sunrise, visit 4 beautiful lakes and local temples, and introduced birds. He has very rich bird knowledge. We even saw swimming crocodile in a lake! His wife cooks so well! We had super delicious homemade dinner. I really love it! Nalin also helped us book a safari, and we saw leopard, bear, and many other animals.

The location being right on the beach was the highlight of this spot for us, being able to walk along the beach first thing in the morning and watch sunrise and sunset each day. Food was incredible too. And the staff were incredibely friendly and warm.

Resort is on great location, its so peacefull and nice. Rooms are very tidy, comfortable and super clean. Pool is great also, we spend hours there chillin' out. They have great restorant, food is amazing, we had dinner there 3 times and we loved all food there. Apsolutelly perfect. Personell is the highlight here, those people are amazing! Very profesional, on service all time, ready and capeable to help with any wish or desire. We felt like we are one big family. This is one of top 2 hotels where I been in my life traver experience. Staff is really attentive and helpful. This makes for a really stress free vacation as we did not have to worry about a thing. Food was delicious and always prepared fresh. Beach was as epic as it gets, long and wide sandy strip. Pool was well taken care of and loungers were plenty to be found in shade and in sun. Rooms, although simple, were comfortable and cleaned daily. Location is good, quiet and relaxing.
