Lake is a few steps down from the property, where you can go for a swim or take a SUP, changing huts are right by the lake too. Location is great to visit waterfalls and Kuldiga itself, caves and, also, owner suggested ostrich and goats farm - which proven to be a great little hidden gem, young ladies serving and giving a tour were an absolute joy and the food at the restaurant on site was lovely too. Little minimarket is 2 min walk away from the property and has everything you might possibly need, from groceries, toileitries, drinks and eben coal for bbq. This one of the very best apts that we have rented, if not the best. It is vast with two big bedrooms, very quiet, well heated if need be. It was recently renovated with charm and very good taste, equipped with top quality appliances, washer and dryer. Well equipped for cooking. A french coffee press, some coffee supplied. Very responsive hosts. A fabulous deal at the price we got it in October. Make sure to eat at the restaurant Bangert's, you get a 10% rebate with the key. A large camping site with many wooden cottages scattered across the forest, with playgrounds, swings below the trees. You'll find every amenity you could want, with enough firewood provided for your fireplace inside or a BBQ (or bonfire) outside, as well as plenty of plates and kitchenware, a stove, fridge, and other appliances in every house. We celebrated my husband’s birthday in Kuldiga. Most restaurants close at 8 pm we only found one that stayed open until later.
