The Old Liepaja is a gem boasting old and Jugend architecture. The city offers many music events on its numerous sites. There are also many catering options in different budget ranges. You can just walk around or travel by car; parking rates are extremely low in the city centre. The most exciting experience was visiting local churches and the underground art gallery near to Rožu laukums. We visited off season so it was nice and quiet with only a few guests in our hotel and Cape Kolka, nature trails, etc were not busy Since it is off season, it was difficult to get dinner as most restaurants and pubs were closed. A nice little town with lots of nice flower decorations in parks and squares. The river walk is very nice. Nice places for food and drinks, both at the Demians Hotel and elsewhere (The Hot Cafe, Casino Olympic, Stender’s Pizza, Cafe Velve). Ventspils - city by the sea, which has Blue flag beach. It is not very crowded even in hot summer days. It is Baltic sea, it can be cold even in summer, it depends on the weather. But there are very nice sandy beaches. The city Ventspils - cozy city with many flowers, many parks for kids to play or just walk in the nature for anybody. Open air waterpark for kids. We celebrated my husband’s birthday in Kuldiga. Most restaurants close at 8 pm we only found one that stayed open until later. Nice clean city. Not too much activites to do, but you can walk in forest or on the beach. A bit hitted by Covid, but still have some places to catch food. You can rent a boat to sail local river, or get a yaht to make a day or 2 day travel.Guest review byОлег ЖирновLatvia
