We stayed 2 nights in the camp as a family of 4 (2 kids 3,5yo and 5yo) and it was just perfect! We arrived our first evening in time for sun set (on foot). The next day we booked a day tour with about 7 stops across the desert which was SUPER nice! We had an amazing guide from the camp and it was really diverse (from visiting a nomad camp to finding fossils to a music performance, ...). In the evening we did a camel tour for the sunset. On the last day, our host drove us back to our car in the 4wd. He even spontaneously did a bit of dune bashing because our daughter loved it so much. Breakfast and dinner were also super. Can't recommend it enough, these were core memories made for the entire family. :)

Zahara Mirage Camp - A Memorable Experience! I recently had the chance to stay at Zahara Mirage Camp for a night, and it was an unforgettable experience. The camp is situated in a stunning location, offering an incredible blend of comfort and adventure. During my stay, I got to try two thrilling activities: the buggy ride and the off-road car adventure. Both were absolutely exhilarating! The buggy ride was an exciting, fast-paced journey through the dunes, and the off-road car activity provided an adrenaline-pumping ride through the rugged desert terrain. The staff at Zahara Mirage Camp were friendly and professional, ensuring we had an amazing time and were safe throughout the activities. The camp itself was well-equipped, offering a cozy atmosphere with comfortable tents and excellent amenities. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. If you're looking for a unique desert experience, I highly recommend Zahara Mirage Camp. Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, this camp has it all!

It is an experience that everyone should have at least once, the people at the camp and the workers were very friendly, there was a great atmosphere, food, music and dancing. They do excursions through the desert to visit Berber and nomadic villages, as well as quad and camel rides. The sunset was spectacular. I 100% recommend this accommodation. My partner and I traveled and we were both delighted, I cannot rate it with a higher score because it is not possible, I would definitely repeat 😍

The beds were comfy, and the rooms were well furnished and spotless. The team did a fantastic job hosting us; everything from the pick-up and drop-off at Merzouga to the trip to the camp, dinner, and nighttime entertainment was planned out perfectly. It was an amazing experience! Mohamed takes great care to handle every little thing. We were made to feel at home and had the opportunity to appreciate this desert camp's amazing layout. Everything is done with quality and authenticity, from the activities and cuisine to the comfort of the tents.

Everything. The camp is beautiful. The tent/rooms are very nice and roomy, with water, shower, and electricity. They serve breakfast and dinner which was delicious, and they play music for entertainment around the fire. This hotel is absolute dreamy place and I wouldn’t go anywhere else in this area. You will experience luxury, comfort and beautiful views of the desert. We spent 3 nights in this hotel and felt taken care of by the entire team. You can walk directly into the desert from the back door next to the pool, which is perfect for sunset views but there’s also a rooftop! Rooms are specious, beautifully decorated and the entire place is spotless clean. The hotel provides breakfast and we also had dinner every night and one lunch. All the food was absolutely delicious and we both agreed that it’s probably the best we’ve had during our stay in Morocco. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking about visiting this part of the country.

We had a nice stay overall. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities we needed. It’s conveniently located near minimarkets, which was great for quick purchases. A particularly nice touch was the presence of a sandbox/play area for kids—it made it easier to relax while the little ones had fun. The property has good features like a dual shower and dryer, although the bathroom space was a bit tight. There were also a few ants near the entrance, which could be improved. Still, the positives outweighed the small issues, and we appreciated the thoughtful family-friendly setup. Would recommend for families looking for a practical and comfortable stay.

Very nice, typical hotel, personalized welcome. Outdoor parking on site. Relaxing atmosphere. Very pleasant pool with an exceptional view of the dunes. Second pool heated to 32 degrees and clean... wow it's wonderful to swim there in the evening with a starry sky. The food is delicious. Beer and wine at a reasonable price. Extraordinary, helpful and supportive staff. A detour is essential to discover this wonderful place, located at the gateway to the desert. One of the best places to explore the dunes. Asphalt road to the Riad.

The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful, they helped us organizing activities (camel riding; guide for 4W driving in the dunes) for reasonable price. Interesting medina, market and main square. Short (free) visit to mausoleum is main event, otherwise not a lot to do. Probably 1 day/night is sufficient. Use as a base for half day visit to Volubolis. Limited decent restaurants , most are in Riads. A restaurant with a terrace with nice views exists on inside of gateway near main gate

Midelt was an interesting town/city. There is lots to explore there. We enjoyed wandering around the souk. Sitting at the foot of the mountains it is quite beautiful in the changing light. Peculiar European style roof houses for sliding the melted ice, calm, quiet and very comfortable hotels available, especially I highly recommend MICHLIFEN RESORT. Hotel staff was very obedient, punctual. Hotel surrounding, forest tour by walk.. Deep inside, a visit to a small lake for a short picnic, smaller town comparatively and a short centre ville visit are special moments in 4 days visit. A retirement town. I breathed most clean air in the whole of my life. Very clean town.. I always used to rate some rural area of Sub Saharan Africa as the best for good air quality but now my new option is IFRANE of this beautiful country "MOROCCO".

Not much happening in this town.

Not much happening in this town. Hard to find good restaurants. Most places seem to serve fast food. Probably the biggest draw is the proximity to Ifrane National Park and the famous Barbary macaques. They are easily spotted on the road N13 leading into town mainly because people like to feed them there so there are plenty to see.

had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful mountain hotel. The views were absolutely breathtaking — waking up to the sight of mist rolling over the peaks was like a dream. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready with a smile and helpful tips for exploring the area. My room was cozy, spotless, and perfectly blended modern comfort with rustic charm. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, especially after a day of hiking. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace, nature, and a touch of luxury. Can’t wait to come back!

Very authentic city but lacking nice restaurants that felt clean. In the newer area there was a great place called Le Stream. Favorite places were the music museum and mausoleum. Petit Taxis were reasonably priced and made getting around the city inexpensive and easy.

This place has the feel of a rough and ready desert town.

This place has the feel of a rough and ready desert town. It has a variety of people who live here, and was dry as a bone when we stayed. We were hoping to hike the surrounding countryside but couldn’t get it together so walked around the various neighbourhoods. This turned out to be a great experience. We found a very interesting Berber village, a completely unexpected Catholic monastery, and a very bizarre but beautiful guesthouse. We were surprised by this town and think that you might be too.
