Excellent location in the calm area, nice view around. In fact we spent two days there. One day in the standard room and another one in the cave. Definitely cave was much better in all aspects and this was also an interesting experience. Strongly recommend it! Breakfast was served on the terrace. Nice selection of local and tasty food. We liked it very much.

The Kasbah is a beautiful oasis in the Skoura palmeraie oasis, tastefully decorated and curated in every detail. It can be reached easily via car: though there are no directions on the road itself (which is understandable), Waze or Google maps provide perfect indications and the property sends you messages with directions - it's very difficult to miss. The kasbah is just out of a dream: cypresses surround the gardens and the pool, the sundbeds have soft sun-bathing mattresses, there's several pieces of Morrocan furnitures in all the spaces. They provide dinner with a fixed menu, which was very tasty and had a reasonable price, given they source everything organically and they have very high standards. The staff goes out of their way to quickly provide you with Morroccan tea and towels and they communicate in French and English and we had no problem at all with communication: special mention to Mohammed who would always try to anticipate your needs with a smile and a welcoming approach. We had a room on the last floor overlooking the pool and the palmeraie, which was a breathtaking view. The room had a cozy bed area, and another two rooms for the toilet and the bathroom, where hot water never lacked. There may be drafts coming from doors and windows, which are perfectly manageable with all the blankets provided in the room: these are minor inconveniences that can be expected given it's an old (despite perfectly renovated) building in the middle of Skoura. Highly recommend

We stayed here only for one night on our way to Merzouga, but would love to stay longer and enjoy this beautiful Kasbah and its surroundings. The room was very spacious as well as the bathroom and all nicely decorated. There are plenty of space to enjoy within Kasbah itself and outside if you need to enjoy your own time. Dinner and breakfast was delicious. Had the best moroccan Chicken & lemon tagine. Pool area has a breathtaking view of palm grooves and mount Kissane. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Good service. Would recommend this place for family and friends!

The hotel is located in one of the most spectacular places ever. From our room we had an amazing view on the monkey fingers, part of the gorge du Dades. Dinner and breakfast were both really nice. The swimming pool on the roof top was a plus. The highest score, however, goes to the guided hiking to the gorge that the manager of the hotel helped organise for us. That was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I would for sure recommend this beautiful riad to anyone. Thank you again!

    La Perle du Dades. After an adventurous and long trip from Marrakech, through the Atlas mountains, we arrived at La Perle du Dades at 10 pm, extremely tired. The traditionally dressed host gave us a warm welcome, and guided us via a romantic courtyard to a beautiful room. After having enjoyed a lovely dinner at the courtyard, the friendly hosts, and a good night sleep, we woke up in …… paradise! La Perle is a true pearl in the desert. We originally planned to stay just 1 night, but who wants to leave paradise that soon? So we booked another night and fully enjoyed a day in the desert. We visited an old village, were invited by an original Berber family, drank tea together, enjoyed a pomegranate straight from their own tree, and brought their children to school. Once back at La Perle, we took a swim and took some rest at the pool. After another great dinner in the most romantic environment, and a good night sleep, we will continue our road trip. La Perle du Dades is probably, without exaggeration, one of the most beautiful places on earth. We will definitely come back, and enjoy more of this wonderful experience.

    I really enjoyed a comfortable stay at the Marmar Hotel in Ouarzazate thanks to the friendly and professional staff, especially Mohamed, Ibrahim and Youssef. Who welcomed me with a beautiful smile. Clean and quiet rooms. Comfortable bed. Beautiful decor. Very clean bathroom. Perfect location in the city center and close to everything.. Delicious, varied and free breakfast. The price is reasonable. I recommend all travelers to book this hotel. It was a really great experience. I will definitely come back to book this beautiful and wonderful hotel that deserves five stars for its excellent services. Thanks again.

    Service is excellent. Food is delicious. Staff is very friendly. The view on the roses valley from room and terrace is awesome. From there we could visit in three days three gorges: Toudgha, Dades and Amejgag. The walk in roses valley nearby is very enjoyable. People in the region in general are very welcoming and friendly. We are far here from tourist traps culture in big cities like marrakech. Very safe part of the country, and very telegenic.

    Mustafa was ever so helpful and accomodating! The service was excellent from the front of desk to the staff in the restaurant. The panoramic view of the kasbah from the terrace is just magical. You could stop the time watching the sun rises and sets in the horizon. The swimming pool is just another icing of cake:))) Bravo!!!

    All the employees were super kind to us. Rooms were clean furniture was comfortable and new. Bed linens were clean enough. During the check-out hotel owner Jan-Pierre came and showed us a nice route to Marrakech. And gave us snacks to eat on our way to Marrakech too. Breakfast was enough. Unbelievably designed hotel lobby.

    This place.. Just book it.... Really exceeded my expectations. We actually came back later again. The hotel works a lot with tour groups (that arrive at night and leave in the morning), so during the day you might have it all to yourself. During september, there were barely any people anyways.

    Mimoun was there to greet us when we arrived. We were late arriving and he made sure we got food and organised a full day of activities for us the following day. We loved the campfire and music in the evening. I would highly recommend The Ecolodge to anyone. A must see in Morocco 🇲🇦.

    The Riad Caravene is fantastic in every way. The riad looks like something from House Beautiful with beautiful spaces and lovely art. The rooms are gorgeous, the common spaces lovely. Particularly nice are the two terraces near and at the top of the riad, with great views in all directions and lovely furnishings. The small pool and deck on the ground floor also were lovely and a perfect spot after walking around the ksar. The staff were wonderfully helpful and the food outstanding. We would return in a heartbeat if our travels take us this way again. Thanks to all!

    You really don't need to stop here and stay over...

    You really don't need to stop here and stay over... The todra gorge is beautiful to see, but you could drive up to it and out again. I recommend stopping at Family el Mabrouk restaurant on your way into the gorge for a truly authentic experience. They are so full of energy. They'll dress you up in traditional wear and take photo's for you. They even took me with to the Souk in town. Highly recommend.

    We had a sunset tour on the camel organized from the Oases Tiloqui luxury Hotel, and it was great. From Zagora is 75 minutes by car to reach the location where you can also spend a night in the tents, that it can be quiet unique. We stay only for dinner after the camel tour. Pity that the bivouac was pretty neglected.

    If you want to avoid big crowds and are willing to travel a bit then M'Hamid may be a good choice. You are 2 hours by 4x4 and a couple days by camel to see the Erg Chigaga. When I was visiting in December there were not large crowds which enhanced the trip for me.

    Truly spectacular building, location, and views!

    Truly spectacular building, location, and views! The facility is almost magical in in architecture...all stone that blends in with the Gorge area and the quality of the building is top notch. Also, great that it is mostly run on energy from the sun. To top it all off, we had the cave room, which is truly unique. Finally, the staff was super friendly and accomodating. Highly recommended even if a little off the beaten path. Well worth it.

    The owner and his family went out of their way to give our family an excellent stay. The fact that it's also off the beaten track is also a big plus. We came in late, and the owner, who turned out to be an amazing cook made us an amazing dinner. We even got invited into the kitchen to learn more about certain dishes. The next morning we enjoyed a Berber style breakfast and were sent off with some pancakes for on the road.

    We were disappointed in Ouarzazate.

    We were disappointed in Ouarzazate. It is cosmopolitan city but the area around was quite dismal. Unfortunately like so many places in Morocco, a country we love, it is drowning in rubbish. The highlight was visiting Ait Ben Haddou.
