It is absolutely fabulous location and place. I cant express how much i am recommending to use an opportunity to stay there if you happen to pass by. It is worth making particular planning to stay there whilst travelling around the country. And make sure you reserve at least couple hours of your time to spend around the palace and gardens itself as well as paintings and museum of Claudio Bravo. We are most thankful for two gentlemen ( i am very sorry of having lost their good names...) who have been looking after us during our short stay. Also recommending dinner to be pre booked.

This Riad was absolutely wonderful - staying was an absolutely lovely experience. Everyone from the owners to the staff was very welcoming and thoughtful. The design was gorgeous throughout. And the cats were charming. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

What a little gem! You walk into this little piece of paradise in Taroudant, with palms, olive and orange trees in the garden, there is a cacophony of birds singing. Beautiful! Don’t miss out on the dinner too! Good food and wine in a welcoming atmosphere with a couple of open fires going. Lovely!

    This place developed on unconventional hotel lines was a perfect peaceful oasis on the edge of the desert outside Taroudant. We were met efficiently off the plane in Agadir (extra cost) and driven smoothly to the hotel, a journey of c. 1 hour. The hotel was idyllically situated in its own landscaped ecogarden with exotic trees and other vegetations, peacocks, tortoises, innumerable cats and 2 natural pools though too cold to swim. Rooms were comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated with ethnic themes. Open olive wood fires available in rooms and main restaurant. All staff well trained, courteous and helpful. Meals and service of a uniformly high quality.

    We were expecting wonderful; however, this first-rate accommodation surpassed the photos and our expectations. Truly enjoying this oasis in an unusually hot Taroudant, we were made even more comfortable with a generous room upgrade. In addition to the private bedrooms, there are numerous areas throughout the property in which to relax, not to mention the large central courtyard and pool deck. The staff members are helpful and kind; the entire property is spotless, very tastefully decorated, and well maintained; a lightly stocked bar selection is offered, as is a lovely breakfast. We highly recommend this property.

    This was probably our best stay in our road trip. The room was very spacious with nice furniture, it even had a desk and a chair and with very nice bathrooms, for Morrocco, and with amazing common spaces, that the guests can use, inside the hotel, there is a very nice lounge room with a view to the mountains with sofas with wooden decoration all around the walls and also outside at the roof terrace, there is a sitting area for the guests with a majestic view. Also, we liked that our room had a lot of windows, all of them with view to the mountains. All in all, a very charming hotel.

    This is the 2nd time we stay at Dar Zitoune & it is still excellent. The rooms are large, spacious & elegant decorated in a Euro/Moroccan style. Each with a private seating area outside. The gardens separating the rooms are lush & create a sense of privacy. There are 3 pools, the main is enormous with seating all around. Service & staff are very attentive, gentle & friendly. One gets the sense that they are proud to work there. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent & the kitchen will accommodate any request.

    I loved everything about this riad.The location was very convenient- in the Medina and near the bus station.The room was large and very clean and breakfast was excellent.What I liked most was the staff-Mohammed was so kind and helpful,taking me on a tour of the Medina when I arrived and both he and Isham took me and my luggage to the bus when I was leaving.Stay at this riad.... Excellent place.

    The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with my rental car and asked for help to call the rental company. The lady at reception called them for me in Arabic after I explained what the problem was. Thank you so much. Parking was excellent with many spaces. The interior of the building is very attractive.     Interesting town with souks and a historical setting where Ali Baba the original film was shot . A local man attached himself to us and ended up giving an informal guided tour. The restaurant we had a lunch was tasty and not expensive. We missed a horse candle cart tour offered at our hotel which would have been better use of our time and visit.

    The kasbah is simply an absolutely beautiful place where you become immersed into the culture. Very genuine hospitality met us the minute we came through the gate and it did not take long to be welcomed with hot tea and enjoy.

    The Host at the hotel was exceptional.

    The Host at the hotel was exceptional. We couldn’t speak his language nor us, his, but he managed to show us how the property was before it was renovated. It is a stunning place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

    The oasis is nice and you get to know how the local people...

    The oasis is nice and you get to know how the local people live. Apart from wandring round there isn't much to do, but the place has its unique atmosphere which is worth experiencing. Getting there is an adventure though as the road is better suited for 4x4 cars, however we managed to get there with our rented car which wasn't 4x4 without any issues (Dacia Logan). The host is friendly and the food was nice.

    Excellent place to see the real Morocco!

    Excellent place to see the real Morocco! Not that crowded like Marrakesh, but full of local flavour. Delicious street food. Fascinating culture. Extremely friendly people. I've been here five times and I'll be back for more :-)
