Gorgeous Stone walls and sea views. Clean spotless rooms the seaside theme aesthetic with a mixture of art and curio pieces makes for interesting decor. As a family we had 4 rooms. The suite on the ground floor. The large room in the Annexe and 2 rooms on the 2nd floor all overlooked the water. Unfortunately no lift so hauling luggage was a pain but staff helped out. Built around the carob street, starlings nestled over the entrance and a ginger cat rests peacefully in the sun. The restaurant attached- Punto Crudo has a lovely garden at the back as well the the seafacing terrace. The food is very good! The chef is well trained. Breakfasts are amazing with a "starter" of chia pudding a French pastry and fruit and the "mains" had amazing truffle eggs (real grated truffle) or cheesy French omelettes or Pancake with mascaporne and fruit compotes. It is a typical city on the Balcanian coast. The main big problem at the moment is a heavy traffic when you enter the city from the east or south east. You spend a lot of time there and if you go for attractions in the neighbourhood, you have to calculate with this, In fact, it is a waisting of time. The town was a big disappointment — the beach feels like a construction site, with houses and villas built right up to the shoreline. No natural shade, lots of concrete, and sharp stones when entering the water. Restaurants are overpriced with bland food. A quieter part of the coastline in comparison to Kotor. The roads were not full of traffic jams and you can take water taxis or boat rides across to the other side of the bay. The landscape is filled with olive groves and the beaches were not too busy. Don’t expect long sandy beaches - more small pebbled coves with rocks or concrete platforms to enter the clear water. I found the town itself not quite my vibe but the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. When I need to come back I will make sure to rent a car so I an explore more. The town is a great base for that with everything you need for convenience. Just not much to do in itself but great as a base to explore the region I think. I did find a nice ancient Roman path with ruins just walking distance from my accommodation. It wasn’t mentioned on google maps or in local signage. A variety of small beaches, clean seas and wide promenades. Plenty of boat trips, restaurants and bars are available. We enjoyed the size of the resort, small enough to walk around with lots of small shingle beaches where it was easy to enter the sea for safe swimming. The grocery shops were well stocked with reasonably priced fresh produce. A good variety of boat trips were available.
