Really helpful, friendly staff, especially the owner. Great bungalow, right opposite the beach with seating to look at glorious view. Good value, excellent food, home cooked and delicious. Half way from airport to town. Owners live on site- the place has a super friendly, family feel, and has a good local reputation.

I'm really surprised why this hotel has a low review. The room is big, the hot water comes in seconds. They cleanes my room every day. The staff are so nice and friendly. The food is very good. It is not very far from the city center, I walked from there tot the center many times.

Their genuine hospitality truly made a difference. **Delicious Food**: The hotel offers delicious food. **Amazing Location**: Situated in front of a beach. The view was spectecular **Clean Accommodation**: The cleanliness of the accommodation was impeccable. Our room was spotless and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of ensuring that everything was in perfect order every day. **Excursions**: We took a quadbike tour and it was really fun. Worth the price. Overall, the hotel exceeded all our expectations.

    Lakana hotel is one of the best choice you can choose on Sainte-Marie island. Location is beautiful. You can reserve bungalow on the tilt or in the garden (I had). The beach is cleaned everyday. The food is mostly local with a lot of fruits and it is very delicious. Bungalows are cozy and clean. Madam Rova (manager) is simply fantastic. She solved all my troubles with a transfer back to the mainland. Thanks again to all Lakana team. The only bad think is that one day you must leave, but I’ll be back soon :-) Tomas.

    The location is absolutely amazing, great for the beach and for walking into the villages. We stayed in a bungalow further back from the beach but you could still see the sea and be there within 30 seconds - perfect! Food was lovely and they accommodated making me vegetarian food (although limited as with a lot of the rest of Madagascar). Staff were lovely, we planned to move around Ile aux nattes but ended up staying here the whole time as we loved it.

    The service was wonderful … the staff were super amazing (all of them). The ambience and atmosphere were also very lovely and the sunset (Katie’s favorite) is definitely worth it. If one needs a tranquil place, this was certainly it. I had a really great time and certainly hope to come back. Oh and the food I also really enjoyed.

    I love the connection I had with the staff. I love the location and access to the main town. The food was great especially on the hosted "pirate party night". Which they had a live band! Fred the owner is extremely outgoing and helpful and makes you feel comfortable 100% of the way.
