- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,291 reviewsThe room was very clean. We enjoyed the food in the gallery! The cooks did a fantastic job. But not only was the food excellent but also the staff! They made every dinner and breakfast something special and something to look forward to. We want to give our special thanks to the following employees: Rakesh Goli, Tanuj, Hussain, Jainam, Lohan and Kristine. It is rare to see a resort staff fulfilling their island motto as these guys did. They made us feel like we were at home and all the small gestures they did, like decorating the tables with flowers and already preparing our favourite drinks, were just unique. There was nothing we had to worry about, and they handled everything. Bandos, indeed was the island of hospitality to us! Additionally, I also would like to give a thank you to your staff at the dive Bandos! Hassan was a great instructor for the snorkelling trips. He showed excellent knowledge of the local fish species and made sure that everybody on the trip felt save, even the not-so-experienced swimmers! Thank you very much for this fantastic holiday, and a big thank you to all your staff members who made the experience so enjoyable.Guest review byAlexGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 127 reviewsAbsolutely everything was incredible! The villa was perfect - clean, comfortable and fully equipped with everything you could need. The facilities, entertainment and whole resort set up was well planned, ran smoothly and catered to our every need. We really enjoyed the snorkelling opportunity and the spa experience. The food and drinks were varied, delicious and exceeded all expectations. The whole staff were exceptional and couldn’t have done more to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. When we visited, I was 23 weeks pregnant and every single member of staff went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating, making sure we felt looked after at all times. We were particularly appreciative of the private speedboat transfer to make our journey as smooth as possible. A special mention to Miffy, our Mr Friday, for being absolutely fantastic and making our baby moon so special. We would 100% recommend this resort and hope to make it back one day!Guest review byBurgonHong Kong
- From US$583.14 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 391 reviews1. Location. It is natural island with lush greenery and a home reef with all the Indian Ocean inhabitants in place. The beautiful beach is just steps from the door of your room. Short trip from the airport by boat. 2. The management performs a good job there, everything is well maintained and well organized, the staff knows what to do and does their work in right manner. E.g. after the wind or rain it was a lot of leaves and other parts of vegetation on the ground. And every time it was cleared in very effective manner all over the island. 3. Special thanks to our waiter Raju, who was very clever and attentive in his service. Also the cleaner, Ali was making our room impeccably clean every morning despite all the sand brought in during the previous day. 4. We have two birthday celebrations during our week there and we ordered a dinner on the beach for each of them. Again, everything was perfect and we enjoyed every moment there.Guest review byIgorBelarus
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 183 reviewsPristine beaches and crystal clear water. Beautiful sunsets. Friendly and helpful staff. Direct communication with the assigned agent via WhatsApp. Very convenient. Amazing food. Six different restaurants to choose from. Fushi restaurant offers a buffet with different selection every day. I highly recommend to book half board. You will save a lot. Plenty of available water activities. Scuba diving, fishing, snorkeling, dolphin tours, etc. Nice kids club with lots of activities. Outside playground and water castle. Cooking classes. Rockclimbing wall. Karaoke. Game room. You have bicycles assigned to your room. We were riding the bicycles every day around the island. You just can't can't get enough of the nature. The whole island just feels so quiet. Most of the time we hardly saw any people during the day. It almost felt like we rented the whole island.Guest review byDenys ThomsonUnited States
- From US$360.72 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,393 reviewsFrom the stunning serene views, to the super friendly and caring staff who go out of there way to make sure you have everything you need and are comfortable. The food! Fresh, quality produce with exquisite flavours and good variety for all palettes. This was a true getaway from the trials and tribulations of life where one can truly find peace and enjoy a calm tranquil holiday. Like all places service is what takes a nice hotel/resort to the next level and in this case Kudos to the Malahini team as every member of staff we interacted with was filled with smiles, a duty of care truly made us feel special. A few special mentions have to go to Yadanar, Shees, Samin, Nouhayla, Dina and Kritika.Guest review byRizaniSri Lanka

One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 10.0

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement. The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)! Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!). I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive! Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus. Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!Guest review byLaurenL97United Kingdom - 8.0

It is a really peaceful island with a really nice beach. Beach has almost that resort level quality to it. Island is small, so besides water activities or some excursions, there is not much to do, so for some travelers it might get boring.Guest review byVladimirSerbia - 10.0

Guraidhoo - ferry every day and easy to reach from Male, not so busy yet, not yet ugly concrete big buildings, bikini beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. White soft sand with turquoise warm water and sandy shore for fantastic swimming and walking on the sandbar - great for kids too, sunbeds and good cafe on the beach, there are corals and ship wreck for snorkeling and not to forget the shark feeding place - simply amazing to watch sharks and rays - great entertainment for the evening. There are great restaurants with fantastic prices. This island is amazing choice !Guest review byDarinaSlovakia - 2.0

We only had 4 days and picked Huraa because it is close to the airport. A very bad choice. The island is absolutely not nice, full of trash, nothing is taken care of, even the bikini beach was a huge disappointment, dirty, broken sunbeds, only 6 umbrellas. No cafes, restaurants anywhere. The only nice place on the entire island is the Pearl Sands. It is a hotel, but you can pay a daypass to use their beautiful private beach including a very a good lunch. That place saved our vacation.Guest review byanitaGermany - 6.0
