Jawakara is a great resort Let me start by the Villas.
I chose the Villa at the beach in Mabin Island.
The Villa very comfortable with great space. You have 2 beach chairs at the beach exclusive for you.
One peculiar thing is the bathroom that do not have air conditioning. There is a small garden on it and part of the celling is open. Is different, but for us worked well.
Just a reminder to always ask to the room staff to fumigate every day to avoid insects. The breakfast is amazing. All kind of good food.
We have a huge variety of food: breads, cheeses, juices, yogurts, sweets, hot dishes, cold dishes, etc. A balcony where you can order fresh omelets, pancakes, waffles, etc. The structure is great, there several restaurants, bars, activities (jet ski, kayak, snorkel, etc), fitness center, etc.
The staff is outstanding, all employees polite and always ready to assist you.
When you arrive, a concierge is assigned to you. Through the whataspp, you can ask him all type of requests: book activities, restaurant reservation, or any kind of request you need/want. They will do everything to assist you. Our concierge was Saadin. Very polite and competent. He definitely maximize our experience in Jawakara resort.
There is some videos on the internet showing the Jawakara facilities, you can trust on these videos. If you go to Maldives, you can choose Jawakara. You won’t regreat.

The island is fantastic. It's small but has everything a resort needs. Because it's small, it feels private even with the other guests, and there are no queues for anything, for buffet, water sports, seats always available at the bar etc The food everywhere was delicious and so many options available! Lots of water sports options. Don't miss snorkelling at the reefs, it was once in a lifetime exprience with all the sea creatures we saw. Lots of insta-worth spots everywhere. The room was amazing and very large, we had a water pool villa and the days when the weather was nice and it wasn't too windy or raining, the direct access to the sea was a great experience. If I went there again though, I would book some days at the beach villa as well, because there were less waves depending on the direction of the villa, and the water in front of the villas was perfect even on windy days. Lastly the staff was great, everyone very polite and always trying to service us the best way possible. Our host Diksha did a tremendous job and was always on top of everything from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Thank you Diksha!

We stayed in the Over Water villas in the Sangu area (ages 18+) area of the island and it was perfect for us. Very calm and peaceful. Our overwater villa and time spent on its deck was bliss. We loved our daily morning walks around the perimeter of the island (approx. 50 min. leisurely walk). We chose to do Full Board and the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets were great. A wide variety of food, nicely displayed and tended to. Loved the nightly candlelight dinners on the sand looking at the water. We chose to have breakfasts and lunches in the shade of the open air seating next to the buffet. Lovely servers. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful. We had the nicest housekeeper - who created the most impressive art on our bedspread Christmas Eve, made out of flowers and leaveas. Our couples spa treatment (in the O area of the island) was lovely. We appreciated the shuttle service offered around the island on those afternoons that the sun was particularly strong. We used the gym once and it was well maintained, filled with light, overlooking the beach and water. Very nice. My fave thing - our walks out onto the sandbar. Amazing.

we loved how the hotel was so perfectly designed, how they managed to have the entire island dynamic with different bars, restaurants and entertainment spread around. we could do sunrise or sunset yoga, snorkeling, diving, jet ski, stand up paddle, you name it. we had all inclusive, so the food was a big part of our stay, which was delicious. at last, the staff was incredible, we had hambe being our guest host, keeping us updated about all the night and day activities. so, a big thank you to hambe, to nizam, to paw, to charith, to juan and to giacomo! they made our stay unforgettable.

Nargiz and the whole One The Island team are all so helpful, polite, kind and warm people. Thank you for all you have done for us. The room is nice and lovely. All facilities are very clean and well maintained. Interior is sweet, and there is a big beautiful table on the 1st floor where you can spend some time if you don't want to sit in the room. They offer continental or maldivean breakfast, it is homemade and very delicious. Nargiz also helped us to arrange all transfers and our diving tour, although the latter we cancelled because of our private issues (not related to the hotel). Once again, thank you for those few days. Wish you all the best!

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staffs was amazing. They went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Maldives Islands. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 10 am. We got to the resorts super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. Komandoo is the best destination for honeymooners that you can imagine. Boutique, tinny, romantic, adult-only island to walk barefoot, bunch of activities to do, so you won't get bored, beautiful house reef and delicious food. Everyone from the crew is happy and always smiling, I'd rate service 12/10. The crew is very personal and talkative. My wife's curling iron stopped working, I asked our host if there was any way to organize another one, and they sent someone to the opposite island to buy it for us. We have visited 40 countries and normally are not considering coming back to the same places, but for this resort we will make the exception. See you soon Komandoo!

Overall, it’s an excellent place to destress or spend time w families or just a couple retreat! Very organized from the airport in Male to our final destination in the resort and vice versa. It was our first time in Maldives and we immediately felt safe knowing that someone was waiting for us to give us guide and navigate the how’s and do’s.

Excellent choice of food in the restaurant, beaches clean but varied from nice soft sand to gritty coral sand. The east side of the jetty the sea was choppy like a mill pond on the west side of the jetty. Resort was busy but never difficult to find tables in restaurant or seating in bars.

Komandoo is a small resort with only 65 rooms.

Komandoo is a small resort with only 65 rooms. Most guests are repeat visitors, with some having been coming back for over 10 years. Like a lot of the guests, we have tried other Maldivian island resorts, and have come to the same conclusion - Komandoo is a quiet, friendly resort with excellent food. The star of the resort is most definitely the staff. Without exception they are helpful, friendly, and with a maximum of 130 guests, they quickly get to know you. Seeing repeat guests arrive was like watching a family reunion. The villas and facilities are basic - not the latest flashy trends with private pools and the like, but solid and comfortable.

I would not recommend staying at Naifaru, since it's a local island so you have to cover up your shoulders and knees at all times, even on the beach. It's better to save up money for the Maldives and splurge and stay at a resort. Also, don't travel during the rainy season. The weather was pretty bad the whole week I was there except for a few hours of sunshine one day.

We mostly stayed on the Jawakara island, so can't answer for the rest of the atoll, which looked lovely from the one boat trip we did. A la carte restaurants were the best at our resort, and the fodd was good value, just the drinks were very expensive.

Kuredu Resort Island is very clean and my water-villa had every small "thought." It's like every taste was considered. There were a variety of soft drinks, snacks, and the ambience was awesome as I changed the small lights. I enjoyed looking at the other villas as I walked or rode the cart to meals or activities. The water was a bit deep for the floating-breakfast but the breakfast had a variety of delicious choices with the free-use of a villa! The undersea restaurant was unexplainably beautiful, and I enjoyed the drone photo session!

Wonderful small island resort with everything you could need to enjoy your time in paradise. We tried paddle boat with slider, kayak, seabob, went on turtle snorkerling trip, massage time at spa,we met reef sharks, octopus at the pier, lot of colored fishes, crabs and of course grey heron :) Our sunset beach pool villa was the best choice!Amazing white beach, nice private pool, nice terrace, room was big, our family of 4 had really enough space there for relaxation also for online schooling.Oh and bathroom! We could take a shower all at once! But shower under the palm tree was our favourite! Staff were so kind and helpful and smiling,we liked everyone who take care of us! But our Hakee..he is the best! He is so nice and kind man, he take care of us at restaurant, pampered us, made a fun with us, we really loved him! Thanks to him kids fed the fish at the pier, we saw wonderful sunrise, kids had a great servise of fruits and icecream during they online school and mommy had always ready a glass of wine.. we cried as we left.. Hakee thank you so much!!!! And also I have to mentioned Azym, our manazer who was always there for us,who always fulfilled our ideas and thaks to him everything went smoothly. Our kind housekeeper cleaned villa twice a day and our minibar was always full,we had always enough water and some sweetness for kids.He did great job! Two weeks here passed very quickly. We were so sad when we left. But the feeling of wonderful time will stay with us for a long time.
