- From US$361.64 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 470 reviewsLovely place, amazing food (we had game meat every night - Eland, Oryx, Springbok -), amazing breakfast, very comfortable bed and pillows, natural insect repellent in the rooms with lemongrass, natural views from the room - nice sunset -, very friendly staff. We arrived with Namibia2GO, till the other Gondwana hotel, and we were transferred for free to the hotel (6 kms away), also for free when leaving. We booked the full day safari with them (about 80 EUR per person) during 3 days and the service was very good, a lot of food for lunch included, and we saw a lot of animals. Very close to one of the Etosha gates, just 10 min drive. We would come back, for sure!!!!Guest review byMIJAILSpain
- From US$299.78 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 280 reviewsWe stayed at Hobatere Lodge during low season before going to Etosha and it was incredibly peaceful and calm. It is located close to the Galton gate of Etosha Park. The staff was so kind and always available. The reception/restaurant area is beautiful inside and outside. Dinner was amazing and prepared with a lot of attention (no buffet as in other lodges). Revenues will go directly to the community. You can do a tour (ca. 2h, offered 3x/day) in the close area and see lots of animals. Recommended for 1-2 nights before going to Etosha or if you have less time, doing a trip to Etosha while staying at Hobatere.Guest review byLeaSwitzerland
- From US$219.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,346 reviewsBeautiful lounge with gardens, pools, restaurant and bar at 25 km of Etosha. We absolutely loved our 1/2 day game drive with Sam! Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet was very good and the dinner (also buffet) was excellent with lots of variety and also different options every night. Live cooking with game steaks, sausages but also chicken, beef and vegetables. Garden is lush and the pools were very nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Female manager kept an eye on every detail during the meals. This was the best lodge in Namibia that we stayed in!Guest review bySarahSpain
- From US$459.79 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 216 reviewsWe particularly loved the beauty of the place, the comfort of the bedding, the attentiveness, and the warm welcome from the staff who go out of their way to ensure our comfort. Special mention to the chef, who takes the time and care to ask us how the meal is each evening, and especially to Vanessa, who was extremely kind and with whom we loved chatting. We will be back!Guest review byAlexiaFrance
- From US$1,356.37 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 42 reviewsEverything is perfect except it is very expensive. Really a 5-star accommodation in any perspective. Regarding animal sighting, we saw an elephant in distant when we were having our lunch. There is also a waterhole that you can view from restaurants or walk very close. Higher chance seeing rarer animals like lions and Kudu.Guest review byKa HoHong Kong

We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to view animals in Etosha National Park. The terrain here (unlike Numatoni) is vast and flat. Animals are few and far between but with persistance and great binoculars we spotted a Black Rhinocerous, elephants, zebra, springbok, oryx, giraffe, ostriches, and 1 lion, all during daylight hours. The food is best OUTSIDE the park. There is NO fuel in the ENTIRE park! The “Trading Post” is the nearest fuel to this village (less than 10km). Fuel is CRITICAL for planning in rural Namibia!Guest review byCharlesGermany - 10

It has been our 7th time in Namibia and our 5th in the Namutoni area. As always it is amazing! Wildlife is stunning and this year the scenario with the pan filled by rainfalls was absolutely one of the best scenario you can imagine. This year we missed elephants (just a few) which usually crowded Klein Namutoni, but area around Namutoni was plenty of wildlife such as hundreds of giraffes, impalas, gnus, zebras, springboks. We have seen also cheetah (quite frequent in this area of the park), black rhino and, for the first time in Etosha, leopard with cub. Great place!Guest review byMarcoItaly - 8.0

If you're planning on going to Etosha, Omuthiya is a great spot to base yourself out of. It's about an hour from the northern most section of the park, which we found to be the best spot from which to see predators in particular. The town isn't particularly well lit or well represented on Google Maps, though, so I would advise getting there well before sunset to make sure that you find your accommodation. Residents are incredibly helpful and will assist with directions is needed.Guest review byErin VersfeldSouth Africa - 4.0
We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park.
We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park. There is no information about the rugged dirt roads in the park. We were happy to leave the park without an accident or car broken. No good for self drive! There were no animals at the waterhole in Okaukuejo...Guest review byJiřiCzech Republic - 8.0

As expected, the variety of predators was not observable but we saw many herds of antelopes, wildebest and zebras. A single giraffe standing in an area near Halila was beautiful. Watering holes were well marked and lovely settings to spend time viewing though some roads were deeply rutted. Sorry to have detour cut off several watering holes near Anderson Gate but understand its necessary for park maintenance.Guest review byLorraineCanada
