A traditional, well-run hotel. We had a suite (the Senator’s Suite) which was huge and made us feel like VIPs! The staff were all fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant every night, the food was excellent. I recommend trying the Hansa coffee! The hotel is in the centre of town, so very convenient. Hansa Hotel was our favourite accommodation whilst in Namibia! We would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the place. The place has charm and character and the hosts were very warm and welcoming. They have a delicious continental breakfast. The room was cozy with a private shower.

    Desert Breeze is a breath of fresh air! Tucked away at periphery of town, in a quiet neighborhood, facing the dunes. The views are to die for!!! It’s such a serene and relaxing place perfect for a couple getaway. The gospel music played at breakfast on Sunday morning was so befitting- it’s just amazing to listen to that music as you admire Gods handwriting outside! There’s a path close to the facility to walk to the dunes so you can experience them at your own pace! The staff are really friendly and professional. They did well to market and encourage us to stay more nights, pity we had other commitments but we were sold!

    Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance.

    Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. I visited Swakopmund 20 years ago and the only issue I found worrysome this time around was the many hustlers trying to force their offerings for sale. The jetty also needs some urgent maintenance.

    the museum which was recommended by the hotel was really worth a visit we spent a whole morning there and learnt so much about Namibia and its people as well as Swakopmund. the walk along the pier though very windy was worth the experience.

    The crystal museum is a must see.

    The crystal museum is a must see. Stadtmitte Cafe serves exceptional food (well worth the wait). The manageress at the Mermaid Casino was extremely rude, impolite and disrespectful when we attempted to leave the premises with a can of Coca Cola that we had purchased within the premises much to the embarrassment of the security personnel who apologised profusely to us on our departure.
