Everything! It was very clean, super cheap, very comfortable beds. The person I was talking to on the phone when I couldnt find the place was sp very nice and patient with us. It was quite, peauful had gorgeous views of mountains just outside.

Wonderful staff in the hotel. Very friendly and helpful.
The location is superb. The hotel itself is a fascinating building- architecturally unique; it’s full of interesting artifacts and pictures which the very knowledgeable staff are only too happy to describe/explain.
Dinner was wonderful - three courses was absolutely more than enough!
Breakfast was equally good.
We were only there for one night but wished we were there longer

Very kind and friendly staff. They made sure that I was able to get dinner at the restaurant before it closed, which I was most grateful for. This hotel was an oasis after hiking all day!

The place is an old, charming house that's very warm and cosy. Shower inside the room, toilet is shared and outside of the room but to be honest we didn't find it an issue. Location is very safe, next to the local Spar. The breakfast is simple but does the job. There's optional dinner that you can go for at extra charge that I would recommend if you are willing the taste some local food. The food that's prepared by the hosts is very tasty and the price is reasonable. Speaking of the hosts, they are absolutely lovely - super attentive, really trying to make you feel welcome and very accommodating. Thank you for the great experience!

We truly enjoyed our stay! The campsite felt cozy and welcoming, with a wonderful host who genuinely cared about every guest. Even when full, it was calm and private. There were plenty of things to do — from sauna, boats, and fishing to trampoline, bikes, and board games. A hiking trail, supermarket, and EV charging were just nearby. The campfire spots and relaxing areas made it unforgettable.

We went to Fyresdal because it was the birthplace of my mother’s father. We were able to connect with a local that helped to find the location of my family’s farm.
We enjoyed a stroll through the cemeteries to find family grave sites.
The only thing that would have made it better would have been to connect with family members!

Really nice, cozy, clean and well organised place with great and helpfull people. They offer free use of canoe and boat. The shower is free and limiter only by your decency. Location is great and the rules are clear. We really enjoyed the stay.
