- From US$110.08 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 815 reviewsDuring our trip across New Zealand, we had the pleasure of staying at the Tresori Motor Lodge in Akaroa, and I must say, it was one of the highlights of our journey. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warmth and helpfulness that made us feel right at home. The room we stayed in was not only spacious but also impeccably clean and comfortable. It provided a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings of Akaroa. One of the standout features of our room was the luxurious spa bathtub, which was a delightful way to unwind and soak in the peaceful vibes of the area. Location-wise, Tresori Motor Lodge is ideally situated, making it easy to access various attractions around the town. The convenience of having parking on-site was an added bonus, as it took away any stress related to car security and parking space availability. Overall, Tresori Motor Lodge is a top-notch choice for anyone visiting Akaroa. Whether it's the attentive staff, the well-appointed rooms, or the prime location, this motel ensures a memorable and relaxing stay. It's definitely one of the best motels we visited during our trip across New Zealand. Highly recommended!Guest review byJulietteFrance
- From US$314.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 75 reviewsBeaufort House is a little piece of heaven in a stunning and quaint historical little coastal town. Sharon and Noel were the perfect hosts. The property itself is quite simply fabulous, with wonderful attention to detail at every corner. The bedrooms are beautiful and each one different. A delicious breakfast, to include an array of fresh local produce is served. An especially lovely feature, apart from breakfasting together as a group, is a drinks and canapés soirée hosted by Sharon and Noel for their guests each evening from 6 - 7/7:30pm Good lively conversation over a glass or two of wine in very pleasant company and another perfect evening begins.Guest review byElizabethIreland

We loved the French village vibe.
We loved the French village vibe. The shops and cafes are lovely. At The Brasserie, I mentioned it was my husband’s 70th birthday and the owner brought out a caramel slice with a candle! Loved walking along the waterfront and enjoyed a short bush walk with views, near the lighthouse. The Tini House is in a superb setting right by the water and also great gin cocktails and pizza. We had a wonderful birthday dinner at Ma Maison with a lovely waitress. Had a superb wine tasting at Caldera Estate with oysters and a freshly baked seed loaf with olive oil and herb butter. Lovely staff, especially our French waitress, Solene. The bakery in the village bakes delicious bread daily, and the butchery has superb meat products and an excellent variety of deli items. Had a great pizza lunch at French Farm Estate and enjoyed chatting with the friendly family who own it.Guest review byRaeNew Zealand - 10.0
We had a wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful stay! The place was beautiful, and the view was absolutely stunning. My daughter especially loved feeding the sheep, which made the experience even more special. Everything was well-maintained, and we truly enjoyed our time. Highly recommend.Guest review byBLOOMY - 10.0

Great motel and location not to far from the Ferry at Diamond Harbour. Cafe and Brewery, supermarket and petrol near by. Stunning scenery. Great for quieter travellers wanting a peaceful location and a love of nature. Lovely walks and little bays and beaches to visit. About 7 minutes by Ferry you can visit Lyttleton and they have a market there on a Saturday morning. The motel was very new, clean and beautifully presented with lovely views. The owners were lovely and very friendly. It was a dog friendly motel so I took my small dog who is part of the family. This motel was spotlessly clean and a pleasure to stay at. I will stay again in the future. We ate at the cafe which is near by and also at the Brewery about a 4 minute drive to get to or a 20 minute walk away.Guest review byMorris - 10.0

Would highly recommend staying here although not in akaroa itself it’s only 5-10 minutes away. Lovely people who own it very lovely. Sat out in the morning on deck with coffee enjoying the view. Great unit wish we had stayed longer. Awesome place awesome hostsGuest review byMarieNew Zealand - 10.0
A unique and beautiful little town.
A unique and beautiful little town. We spent 3 days there and felt that was the right amount of time. The food was great - there's a beautiful French bakery in town and the salmon sold at the butchery was amazing! I also recommend The cake shop - it's a unique little place that serves beautiful cakes and tea in old school teapots and teacups. Alpacas were great too, my daughter loved feeding them. Akaroa Dolphin tours run a great tour as well and there's a dog on the boat! The local cinema is also a cute and unique experience - it was very nice. Overall great little town and very friendly locals, recommend for a long weekend away :-)Guest review byKellyNew Zealand - 8.0

We had only booked for one night in Akaroa which we regretted as soon as we arrived. The town has such a relaxed vibe & our accomodation was excellent and central to everything we needed. The car stayed parked up as we comfortably walked to supermarket restaurants & souvenir shopping. It was definitely worth an extra night just to relax and soak in the atmosphere.Guest review byJenni RooAustralia - 10.0

We visited in spring and everything was green, lush and stunning. So many great walking tracks and day trips around the Akaroa harbour. Barry's Bay Cheese Factory is a must to pick up everything you need for snacking platters = no cooking required here!!!Guest review byNinaNew Zealand
