A restaurant we often eat at had gone to the dogs to busy trying to fill al their tables and not concentrating on quality food. On the other hand the vinery is the place to eat diverse menu and small plates to choose excellent food thereGuest review bySueNew Zealand - 10.0

Went to Caravan and Camper Show at Mystery Creek which was excellent. Also went to Raglan and visited a business in Auckland. Hamilton Gardens enclosed gardens were fun with good cafe. Hamilton is very handy to a lot of places. Would have liked to go to Blue Springs in Putaruru, and also do some walks including a visit to Bridal Veil Falls.Guest review byLindaNew Zealand - 10.0

Turangi is a beautiful, scenic location and the people are very welcoming and friendly. We were impressed by the service and choices at the Hydro Cafe, the Flytackle shop and the NZ Post shop. We also enjoyed the Pihanga Gallery showcasing local art and crafts and a delicious Italian meal at Valentinos. It was beautiful in late autumn and we'll visit again.Guest review byOdetteNew Zealand - 10.0

Cambridge is the most well laid out town centre, with easy free parking, respectful drivers of pedestrians on crossings. It has a great variety of cafes, restaurants and shopping for all ages. My number one town to visitGuest review byTrudiNew Zealand - 8.0

Whitianga is a lovely town and felt more relaxed than Whangamata but had all the facilities you would need. The coastline around the area is just ridiculously beautiful. Whitianga was a great base to explore from. I would happily go for another visit.Guest review byDebraAustralia - 8.0

The main point of our trip was to visit Hobbiton Movie Set. This is an amazing experience, our second trip. Have done both the lunch & dinner experience. Food, staff & experience rate a 10. Had a great meal at Sofra, food & staff were great. Breakfast at The Rich Coffee Cafe was nice and the staff were ok. Visited the I-Centre too and found the staff to be helpful.Guest review byVickiNew Zealand - 10.0

Sweet smaller NZ town, worth a quick visit but longer if youre a beach babe/dude, had a good dinner in the Harbour View Hotel, and our accomodation at Long St Studio was clean, warm & reasonbly priced.Guest review bydennisNew Zealand - 10.0
My first trip was 45 years ago.
My first trip was 45 years ago. In comparison back then there was no boat ride. So that was a nice way of finishing the tour. It was summer back then so there were more glow worms. So best time would be in the warmer months. We’re allowed to take photos at the very end only. Would have been nice to have been able to take a few of the caves itself without a flash as memorabilia. Also with groups going through close together it was hard to hear what our guide was saying over other guide’s voices. “Cup of tea” (John) was an excellent guide and very humorous and knowledgeable.Guest review byLuisaAustralia - 10.0
We loved it.
We loved it. The grandkids loved the playground by the mall area. We had a great time at the Goldmine experience and fully recommend this as they were very informative and something different to see. Everything was close by with ample parking which made it easier to get around. Wea made our meals although meal delivery is possible. The ocean is also close. Would love to come back to Thames at some pointGuest review byLyndaNew Zealand
