- From $196.36 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 250 reviewsWe had an absolutely amazing experience at Safari Desert Camp! As a family of four, we were all thoroughly impressed by every aspect of our stay. The huts were clean and exactly as shown in the pictures — no unpleasant surprises, just beautiful simplicity and comfort. The meals were another highlight of our stay — both breakfast and dinner were generous, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. We truly enjoyed every bite. The activities we tried were fantastic and unforgettable. From the adrenaline-filled quad bike ride to the peaceful camel ride and the thrilling dune bashing — everything was well-organized, safe, and full of adventure. A special thank you goes to Omar, our host, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available to help with anything we needed. His hospitality truly made our stay exceptional. If we could, we would give them 11 stars! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience.Guest review byNinaSlovenia
- From $208.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 266 reviewsPerfect desert camping with magnificent giant sand dune as back drop, inspiring sunrises and sunsets, star-filled sky, absolute silence, and random camels wandering around. We spent 2 nights here so we could experience the desert through the 24-hour cycle. The sleeps were warm and comfy, the meals tasty, and service impeccable from Assad, Joel and Joce. The owner Hamid, is a hardworking 15-year desert tourism veteran, and had lots of tales. Campfire and meal times make for great conversations with other guests. We paid OMR25 for the 25-min return 4x4 transfer from Bidiyah, and OMR10 per person for camel rides and dune bashing, both loads of fun. This is a licensed camp, which uses largely solar power and pumps up water from a 150-metre well.Guest review bySumitMalaysia
- From $252.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,293 reviewsCharming, great atmosphere, clean and beautiful place! Amazing experience! They offer super tasty food (breakfast + buffer dinner with camel bbq!!) and cinema under stars. There are camels living by the camp, you can also have a ride with them or just per them of you like! The camp offers pick up service from the village close by, all perfectly organized. At the place you can book additional activities- we took sunset watching at dunes for 30min, price 21rials per car (up to 3 adults) so very reasonable amount. It was great experience and much recommended for everyone! The driver - Khalid was driving by the dunes, he is originally from this area and knows desert as his own pocket 😊Guest review byPaulinaPoland
- From $104.05 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 597 reviewsThe family is super friendly and helpful. Stories around the fire in the evening are unforgettable. The food is local and traditional, very good and the desert is a spectacle. This place has an amazing location as you are really in the middle of the desert, on top of the dunes, but arriving in car is very easy. This stay was a dreamGuest review byunaItaly

Dunes are very closed, so we could climb easy to meet sunrise. Calm and quiet place to watch the stars and relax.Guest review byIrinaRussia

Loved the sunset drive on the dunes.
Loved the sunset drive on the dunes. Dune bashing was fun and you can tell your driver what version of this you want - soft to fast ! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Make sure you book your seat at outdoor dining to avoid not getting a seat if the camp is full. Also book activities as soon as so you get your preferred time. Food was great - huge selection in the buffet and the musical entertainment was a great surprise !Guest review byAliceUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The desert is very beautiful here.
The desert is very beautiful here. Despite the multitude of camps, it is not a problem to have a perfectly quiet and serene evening or morning walk among the dunes. If possible, aim for a moonless night to enjoy the full splendor of the night sky.Guest review byMarkoBulgaria - 6.0

The resort is nice, I think there is a huge investment in the resort , although I think it will be better to train the staff to be more professional to deal with guests and certainly the restaurant is not up to the expectations especially regarding the menu and the the food served maybe the investment should include a new restaurant much better than the current one.Guest review bySaleh AL KamliOman - 10.0
We had an excellent stay at the camp.
We had an excellent stay at the camp. It's a small and private camp, with a great view on the sand dunes. The tents are fully equipped and comfortable. All the people working at the camp were super friendly and helpful. They made sure everything was according to our expectations and beyond. We did a dune bashing activity, where we also watched the sunrise and took beautiful pictures. I also definitely recommend the camel ride to watch the sunrise! The dinner and breakfast was super delicious, and we enjoyed watching the stars around the campfire at night.Guest review byAnonymous
