Porto was a charming city, the views from the historic part of town were beautiful. There were lots of places to explore, around Porto if you rented a car or went on tours. there were also lots of interesting buildings and churches and museums to visit as well as some great food. Just beware the slippery cobblestones! It was an easy city to walk around, a fun thing to do was rent a bicycle and cycle along the coast. The views across the river Dourro to Porto are wonderful, especially at night. A good choice of river cruises are easily accessible and the Port houses are a great attraction. Plenty of good, reasonably priced restaurants and Porto is 5 minutes away across the foot bridge. This place gets a well-deserved 5 stars—no doubt about it! From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, cozy, and totally like home. It’s huge, sparkling clean, and honestly… it looks even better than in the photos (and that’s saying something!). Usually with apartments that look this good, you think: “Yeah right, too good to be true.” But nope—this one actually turned out to be better than too good! It’s got everything. And I mean everything: coffee machine, iron, washing machine, dishwasher… you name it, it’s there—and all in tip-top shape. We were just the two of us, but there’s more than enough space for 4 or even 6 people to hang out comfortably. And the view… wow. Just wow. Need a room with a view? There are many good restaurants in the area. I had returned from a holiday in the UK and needed to stay...
I had returned from a holiday in the UK and needed to stay near the airport as it was a night time arrival. The suites are just a 5 minute walk from the airport, and also very close to a metro station for getting into Porto. I stayed in a different apartment the night before my trip, however, I wish I had known about these suites as I would also have stayed here the night before my outward journey. Conveniently located is an excellent, traditional Portuguese restaurant just along the street. Big portions, friendly staff - some speak English - and very inexpensive. The rooms are more than what you need, and the shared kitchen area with complementary breakfast are an added bonus. It is also possible to cook in the kitchen as there is a cooker and fridge. How can the city approve building a new hotel without either a designated parking lot or underground parking? And: The hotel accepts small pets. A good thing!
