We had a room showing to the inner Courtyard, which is really nice and peaceful, also the room was modern and tidy. We booked with Half board, the food at both the Breakfast and Dinner was exceptionally good. The Hotel Spa Centre is fantastic and for real relaxing. We arrived early but were able to take the room immediately at 12:00, we also booked a late check-out so that we could use the Spa Centre and the room for the rest of the day on the day of the Check-out, which would have been available until 20:30 if we had wanted to stay that long and the extra cost was just 9000 HUF (Ca. €23,-) which is very good. The Hotel is very close to the Centre, so you can easily walk there in about 15 - 20 Mins. It was clean, quite and in nature. The animal farm was also very nice for us For us as a family with a 2 years old was perfect, because she was had things to do and we had not stress. Food avalaible, not so hot, it was a very relaxing vacation. We also visited around lake Surduc and we did a first small hicking to the waterfall Sopot. Stayed in Timisoara twice. It's a very beautiful city. It's got such a nightlife vibe, 11 PM and the main square is full of people having fun. On my 2nd stay here there was a festival and there was a concert in the Liberty Square, with tons of people, beer, fast food places etc. Architecturally also, the city is very nice. Szeged is a great place.
Szeged is a great place. Lovely old buildings, the river, the bars and restaurants are great and generally its cultural activities are also very good. The location as such was chosen by us precisely for those reasons. Our mishaps at the hotel were not the town's fault. We ate dinner at the John Bull, which has fantastic food and excellent beers and wines. The service was great there and it was at walking distance from our hotel. Local transport is great. The view of the mountains is beautiful and the history associated with this place. The Apollo bath museum, the statue of Hercules and the Casino are nice places to visit. The town is nice and very clean and it has enough to offer, even in winter. The not-so-good aspect is that it is rather quiet in the evening, so it is not recommended for people who seek entertainment throughout the night. There is a lot of history starting with the fortress on top of the hill above the town from the era of fighting Turks. Great restaurants and very close to Belgrade. Taxi service is excellent and inexpensive. For best "cevapi" go to BIG and Restaurant Walter, for roast piglet(PECENJE) or roast lamb I recommend Restaurant Beli Narcis or Kod Velje. Both are excellent.
