Everything. The welcome on arrival was first class, The reception staff were lovely and so helpful. As was everyone else who works here. We had such a great stay. I'd recommend this place for anyone with a family looking for a quiet relaxed place with lots of room, and easy access to town. Our apartment room had a kitchen too. Beds were massive and so comfortable. Each apartment has included a 45 minute slot a day to book the entire spa suite and pool. So good!

Very spacious and spotless clean room and bathroom with large and comfortable double side bed. Balcony with a nice view to the mountains. Breakfast was quite good with lots of options and it was nice that is available till 11:00. Hotel staff is friendly and very helpful.

    I got moved to the Hotel Sinaia just across the street so my room was of excellent quality. Yet, customers staying at the Rina Cerbul are also welcome to use the facilities at the Hotel Sinaia, with a top class SPA and good breakfast. The staff was very friendly.     Sinaia is referred to as the Pearl of the Carpathians. It's long been a destination for people in Romania, Eastern Europe and now Western Europeans and beyond. Plenty of things to do including seeing Pele's Castle, the17th century Sinaia Monastery, take the Tele Cabina up the mountain, Snow Ski in the Winter Time, read the Historical Placards in the Park (you'll learn Sinaia was the first electrified city in Romania) and pay your respects at the WWI cemetery.

    Bușteni really is a gem in the Prahova Valley.

    Bușteni really is a gem in the Prahova Valley. Its relatively flat layout compared to nearby towns like Sinaia or Azuga does make it more walkable, especially for longer strolls without steep climbs. Being right at the foot of the Caraiman Peak with the Bucegi Mountains towering around gives it that dramatic, postcard-perfect backdrop. It's no wonder the town has become a favourite for both hikers and casual visitors alike. If you're up for it, the hike or cable car up to the Heroes’ Cross on Caraiman is well worth the effort—stunning views from up there.

    I did have reservations about going to Romania to watch a...

    I did have reservations about going to Romania to watch a sporting event in town but these proved completely unfounded and we thoroughly enjoyed our 12 day stay. Yes, the town does have the hallmarks of an ex eastern block design but that just adds character and charm of these and other period buildings in amongst the newer westernised designs. All the bars and restaurants we went into were very accommodating, clean, polite and above all reasonably priced compered to UK. Everyone we met out and about was polite and accommodating despite and language barriers - we all got there in the end!! I would gladly go back and explore a little bit more and the nearby locations of Bran Castle (Dracula) and Brasov a definite must whilst you are there too

    Unexpectedly, one of the most beautiful and nature-rich, as...

    Unexpectedly, one of the most beautiful and nature-rich, as well as history rich places in Romania. The legendary Hasdeu castle, as well as the House of Nicolae Grigorescu museum are here. The Brebu Monastery is Heaven on Earth to see. Also, don't miss the Doftana Valley. One of the best and easiest trips to take, from Bucharest.

    Good to visit during ski season. Little to do outside of it. Not to mention the access from Bucharest and even Brasov. Awful traffic all thorough the year. Many hours spent is a standstill queue. Other much better alternatives available.

    Not sure what one can do in Slanic besides visiting the salt mine. The city seems to be in some sort of limbo; on one side some of the streets are coquettish and clean and quite, on the other side it is not a city bustling with life. At all.

    Nice quaint town in the middle of the Dealu Mare wine region about 2 hours drive from Bucharest. Some decent eating choices in the town of Mizil about 15 minutes away. There are lot of modern wineries with good inexpensive wines within 15-25 minutes. We had excellent personalized wine tours at LacertA winery & Budureasca winery with the wine makers. It was exceptional at both the places.

    Avoid this apartment.

    Avoid this apartment. In reality it looks like an abandoned and heavily improvised accommodation, not operational during the winter season although available on Booking. Had to cancel it on a short notice but the owners were not eager to find the compromise and had to pay the full price. Lesson learned from my side. Never ever there.

    A lot of tourists both foreigners and Romanians came to Sinaia and Peleș Castle during my stay. Peleș and Pelișor are a must. So are Furnica Complex, Carmen Sylva's lane and Sinaia Monastery. But the town itself, once a royal location, has many sights to offer: old houses, some of them restored, the Ghica Park, the Casino, Palace and Caraiman Hotels. Good confectionery and nice atmosphere at Caramello.

    If you're visiting to go see the mountains this is a great place. If you're looking for a city to walk through and do stuff in, it's almost useless. You can find good food, sure. But nothing to do in the city, per say. The attraction comes from the amazing mountain routes.
