It was the best! The hotel is very clean and convenient overall. The room, the beach, the pool… the bed was I think the comfiest hotel bed I’ve ever slept in, the bathroom was amazing, wide, clean and practical. The staff was amazing! They were so friendly and all spoke very good English. The beach is really good too. At first I was scared because they warned us there might be jellyfish but we didn’t see any and everyone else was also enjoying the ocean, so I don’t think it’s common. The sunbeds get busy during the day but we always managed to find one. There are really nice restaurants/bars and massage places on the beach too next to the hotel. There is happy hours during the day at the pool bar and you get 1+1 on the drinks! The breakfast was good with selections wide enough. We haven’t tried the hotel’s restaurant but ordered room service once and the food was delicious. Overall, it was a top resort experience and we definitely want to come back.

Super choice in Khao Lak area. Everything was super clean and equipped like a little oasis after a long journey. The opened building is also very nice, it’s great to sitting in the area in front of your room. Very kind staff. The location is perfect to discover Khao Lak. 7/11 2 mins walk, laundry 1 min walk, great places to eat within 10 mins walk. Breakfast was also good. Rooms are perfect and very equipped for a 3 days stay. Quiet area, not on the main road. Wifi was also great.

Amazing buffet breakfast - fantastic selection and delicious. Very good wait staff, nice atmosphere and relaxed. Beautiful rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious, very nicely finished, clean and modern. Very nice, luxurious toiletries provided (Marlin & Goetz). Excellent housekeeping services. Beautiful clean beach, multiple pools and multiple restaurants - the pizza oven by the kids play pool was a favourite! Great kids and teens club with different activities and fun games. Gardens are beautifully maintained and bit of fun to see the chickens, ducks, turtle and rabbits.

The stay really exceeded out expectations. It was just what we needed a quiet quality break from the world. The rooms, bed and bedding were superb. Our hostess, and now friend Zoffy and Bart were unbelievably efficient and hospitable, nothing was to much trouble.Breakfast was just superb and the restaurant Mala Mal next-door was the best. The hotel is absolutely stunning, its luxurious paradise. The amenities, grounds, rooms and facilities are first class. There is a great kids play area if you are a family, you won’t be disappointed. The kids area is far enough away from the beach club at the beach front so couples and people without kids can enjoy a pretty much kid free zone. The gym is fantastic! Clean, spacious and modern. There’s also ping pong, archery, Pétanque pitch, volley ball, football and plenty of activities to do, there’s even a really cute street market on a Friday! The pools and spa are wonderful, as is the whiskey room in the lobby. Other nice touches are the free bicycles, complimentary infused water at the beach, wooden room cards, delicious smelling toiletries, extra comfy bed and pillows, ultra modern rooms. There’s not much around but when we come up to this part of the island, we don’t want much around, there’s a 7/11 not far, we biked there and back. I didn’t get his name but the porter who helped with our bags was very lovely and bubbly and gave us a warm smiley reception :) A special thanks to Nicolas the GM for his hospitality and response to a small issue we had with room service. Tip: your room card turns the Aircon on in the gym (this may have been explained somewhere but we missed it)

Beautifully decorated and comfortable room. Great location close to restaurants and night market. Staff was very nice, we checked out at 6.30am and they even gave us breakfast for the road.

    Mai Khao Lak is simply fabulous—there’s no other way to put it! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by this beautiful resort. While it is a bit removed from central Khao Lak, the feeling of isolation is far from a downside. It’s a peaceful retreat, and with central Khao Lak only a short 15-minute ride away, the resort’s shuttle service makes it easy to stay connected (just remember to book your spot in advance). Despite the resort's large size, it remains quiet and uncrowded. Each block is designed with its own spacious pool, so you’ll never feel like you’re competing for space. The variety of on-site restaurants is a highlight, offering a wide selection of dishes to cater to every taste. The buffet breakfast is great for adults but even better for kids offering heaps of kid-friendly options. There's local dining along the beach. These spots serve up delicious, authentic food, and you’ll also find laundry services at an affordable 80 Baht per kilo. Massages also available. We had 2ad, 3ch and booked two rooms: one pool access room and one deluxe room. The resort did an excellent job of accommodating our request to have the rooms close together. The pool access room great, with direct access to the pool from the small decked seated area outside the room. There are also adult only areas with poolside bars and secluded, quiet areas. The staff at Mai Khao Lak are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, they made our stay effortless and enjoyable, their customer service 5 stars! We initially thought khao lak was too quiet, however there is so much to do if you research your trip. we found Facebook groups helpful for ideas, recommendations, and even booking private drivers. This made exploring the area easy and stress-free. Overall, Mai Khao Lak is a perfect getaway for families or couples seeking a peaceful, luxurious retreat with plenty of amenities and activities. Our experience was excellent, and we would happily stay here again!

    After a few minor hiccups on arrival, mostly outside of the hotel’s control, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate and resolve things for us. The room and resort were absolutely beautiful along with the incredible food. 5* service from all the staff and we will definitely be staying again on our return to Thailand. Max and the manager deserve a particular shout out and thank you for making sure we were well looked after. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

    Breakfast was fair enough to enjoy, although there were many visitors. We had an unforgettable experience. On the first night of our stay, there was a sudden loud noise which turned out to be the breaking down of the airconditioning compressor.     If you want late nights, loud music and a party life, don’t go to Kho Lak. If you want rest and relaxation, great food and no crowds this is the place. Pick your time of year and the town seems deserted.

    Not as busy as Phuket, less people but lots of restaurants with reasonable prices. Very family orientated, no night clubs & pole dancing girly bars. Khao Lak is what Phuket was 30 years ago but is becoming more popular.

    We love khao lak as its a lovely town as it suits our need for relaxation, great food and its not hectic . If you're after entertainment and the business if a city, then it's not the place for you
