Nice owner, nice staff. Central but quiet location, modern and clean rooms. You can hire scooters on site and there is a communal area which is constantly being expanded. Had a great stay and would come back in a heartbeat.

We travel as backpackers and as a couple. We just loved it here. The staff is so nice and they do their best to help you! There were only three more guests staying in Cicada Lanta and only us having booked the stay with breakfast, so they opened their kitchen every morning only for us. Very cute! We even booked two more nights, as we felt so comfortable and on ease. The huts are very basic. You'll find everything you need. They are exactly how they look on the pictures and it's very clean. I loved it that the huts are made of wood. And there are so many handmade details everywhere - absolutely fantastic. We do have enough concrete at home. So this just fits so much better! I also love how they created the garden area. We would often sit on our little porch in front of the huts and enjoy the garden or do Yoga. I really don't like all these big resorts coming up. So if you look for a more authentic place but still kind of like to have it clean and nice: This is the place to stay! 🫶🏽

A wonderful surprise! First time in koh lanta couldn't be better! Amazing facilities, location and staff. Exceeded our already high expectations. Perfect for a quiet and calm stay on the island. It has an almost private beach, great restaurants in walking distance and very helpful staff to help you with any needs and requests. You can book tours, transfers and rent a scooter on demand, ideal to explore the island! We got lucky to experience the festival "Loy Krathong", the hotel made a special dinner and event with the guests, it was great. Would love to come back one day. Absolutely recommend it!

    The kind of place the expression 'heavenly' was made for. I don't say this lightly but I think this place is one of the most wonderful hotels Ive ever been to so much so we changed our booking and stayed longer. Im almost loathed to write this review as Im hoping to keep this place my little secret but everything about it from start to finish was beyond exceptional. From what was a very fortuitous last minute booking I consider myself to now be a 'loyal Layana fan' and am planning another trip or two back next year. This place has a very boutique personable relaxed vibe. You can tell from the moment they place the 'layana lei' on you this place is not a chain and is being managed to very high expectations & all is under the careful eye of the amazing Franck who is quite the holiday tastemaker! Everything has been thought about from start to finish- even at the airport you are taken care of! Make no mistake this place is high end and delightfully with none of the gauche that some high end hotels can sometimes have. Really outstanding. There is a very laid back, cool but without being pretentious vibe here - the staff are beyond wonderful & theres tasteful, beautiful decor everywhere you look. The hotel is in a lovely spot in Koh Lanta & has two gorgeous infinity pools overlooking the ocean- one is even saltwater. The rooms are big & very comfortable. We particularly loved the linens & the balcony & lovely gardens outside it was all so super peaceful. Great location too the hotel backs onto on a long white sandy beach with loads of little places to eat and get a massage along it if you want to venture outside (which we rarely did!) The food was really good here, we loved the menus & the breakfasts were fabulous theres nothing you cant get. Theres also a really great gym that was very 'Third Space' with lovely air con in case you need to work off the magnificent brekkie.

    The rooms are lovely, we stayed in star path for two nights and the room was immaculate and exactly what they said they were and super comfy, we then stayed an extra night in the upgrade into forest sweet, the room was a little tired and worn but immaculately clean and totally worth a tattered curtain for the double spa bath on the balcony we saw the cloud sweets and they looked very nice all glass rooms. I definitely recommend this hotel definitely some luxury in lanta. The location is lovely abd a 15 minute bike ride to the national park or the pier so right in the middle of the island with beachfront pools and restaurant, lots of wildlife noise

    The service is very friendly and any problems are solved immediately. Breakfast is particularly delicious. The location is the best in this area. There are several cute dogs running around on the beach for a walk every morning. so cute. The buffet breakfast has a lot of choices, and the fried rice is more delicious than what is sold in star-rated restaurants outside, which is a surprise. I will choose this place to stay next time I come here

    Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location. Rooms are lovely little huts scattered around the hotel which means they’re quiet and private. The staff are so friendly and the bar area always has people around playing darts in the evening - such a nice atmosphere! It’s in a remote area of the island which means the sandy beach feels very private and quiet. Can’t recommend enough if you’re after a peaceful getaway.

    I had a sea view room and I loved it - I could hear the waves at night and it was great to look out over the garden, pool and sea. I work online and the desk was perfect - it was also great having affordable room service so I did not need to go out and find meals during my short breaks.     Visited in low season weather wasn’t great but that is to be expected. Beaches not good for swimming and littered with rubbish. The vast majority of restaurants and resorts were closed. This island has a very different vibe in the busy season.

    Gorgeous location.

    Gorgeous location. Great for families or people not needing a party outside their door. Plenty of tour providers to keep your days well occupied (shoutout to Goodtime travel for being the best service I’ve seen in a long time). Highly recommend Mons cooking school too - so much fun. Take a trip down to beautiful beach for the most crystal clear water.

    During off season (July) the Island is reasonably quiet, many places are actually closed. Still, we had a great time. We had picked the right accommodation and were lucky with the weather, Still, it was often very windy with one powerful storm, which made the beaches useless: high bumper waves with rocks under the surf. Luckily, we had a great pool at our place. Things to do: Great local food everywhere and very affordable. Mangrove and island cave kayaking Elephant sanctuary (go for the 2hrs option if you can afford it) Old Town (great few form the pier and lots of tourist shops) National Park (jungle walk, lighthouse, beach) Many beaches to explore Scooter hires everywhere

    Koh Lanta is a nice island, I went at the end of the season so not too many people. I think in peak season it might be uncomfortable with the number of tourists. The beaches on the west coast were amazing, we didn't go to any on the east coast, not enough time. Lots of restaurants and night markets. Great to walk along the beach and try different restaurants to eat lunch or dinner. The ethical elephant sanctuary on the south of Koh Lanta was an eye opening experience and changed my views. Lots of walks and waterfalls to see.
