Charming owners and staff. Clean cozy and spacious room. Everything matches the photos. The shower and other amenities are in excellent condition. If you are on a moped, living in this part of the beach is not a problem. We really liked this quiet location and definitely come back again. One very voracious local cat came every day at the same time to ask for food and regularly tried to open the door at night. But it did not interfere with our rest in any way! Soo cute :)

Happy with my choice. Quiet place. No music by the pool. No clubs around to hear all night long (unlike Haad Yao, for example). Nice pool, nice beach, nice restaurant. Daily free water. Very nice rooms.

Our stay at Santhiya was really nice. The room, pool, and facilities are superb. Breakfast was nice and tasteful. The staff and personnel are wonderful and kind and helpful. I love communication via Whatsapp, because it's quite a walk/drive to the reception and it makes everything easier. Love the ride with the wooden car, our daughter enjoyed it. Restaurant at the beach is great, maybe some more language skills would be appreciated with the staff there. Main pool in nice and big, beach is wonderful. 10min walk to the nice city nearby with lots of bars and restaurants.

We loved our stay at Golden Hill! The staff is incredible. They are kind, caring and attentive when we need a service. The hotel restaurant has a magnificent view and delicious dishes (You must try the Gaspacho!!). The hotel swimming pool, located below the restaurant, also boasts a breathtaking view; the perfect place to watch the sunset. The hotel also offers room service and a fast, reliable cab service. Hotel provides for everything you need for a great vacation - we were picked up at the pier in Ko Pha-ngan and transferred to the property in a comfortable air conditioned car. The room was very spacious and had all necessary amenities - robes, slippers, beach bag with towels, tea station, mosquito repellent. Design of the room is very nice. Our room had a view on the pool and sea. Staff of the hotel is very attentive and ready to help with any request, so that you can relax and enjoy the holidays.

We had a fabulous week in Panviman - every member of staff gave us an extraordinary service and were always so kind, cheerful and professional. A special thanks to Nick who took care of us every morning at breakfast. The view from our room was out of this world and we enjoyed the food and cocktails in the bar. We'd highly recommend the speedboat transfer as our arrival was effortless and enjoyable in comparison to our return journey by ferry.

Not the nicest part of island.

Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. Road between Haad Rin and Thong Sala and everywhere else on the East/West of the island is very steep hills to ride by bike.

I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location.

I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.

The night life - bars, cafés, markets, and I enjoyed getting a massage after all the walking around. There are many massage parlors and massages are so affordable here. Also, the service at the massage parlors is very good.

Lovely area on Koh Phangan.

Lovely area on Koh Phangan. Many local and also westernised food places (Ann's and Shish Kebab were our favourites!), shops and of course pristine beaches. Worth hiring a scooter to explore around and enjoy the island vibes.

Great location , lovely village great restaurants, not over crowded , family friendly. We ate in many local restaurants , the food was superb and very reasonably . Good variety of shops and supermarkets , we didn't travel outside the resort as didn't need to but plenty of taxis if needed

Amazing place on the island.

Amazing place on the island. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and more. Nothing is too far really, jump on the bike and go 15min to another spot, be very careful in the corners when riding your bike......lots of people get a "Koh Phangan" tattoo there meaning they crash and the scars. Sand in corners means, slow down!!! I recommend Papaya Massage for great Thai and oil massage. Enjoy a great beautiful Phangan.

Aside from the turquoise water, there is a reef just a few yards from the shore where you can snorkel and see beautiful fish, big clams, and coral. Although much of the coral is bleached and dead, there's enough living coral there for adults and kids to enjoy. Since the water is shallow, it's safe to walk all the way out where it gets a little deeper for better snorkeling. The beach is a white sand beach, but we recommend swim shoes which are available at a little grocery store, along with snorkel masks. Many beachside restaurants to choose from. Although there is no public shower, some restaurants have an outdoor shower available.

I was in haad rin beach, it pretty much is a village. A nice one, but no sidewalks, everything is cheap, a bit dirty. Compared to Phuket it really is a small village. But the full moon party was amazing, so much fun! So it definitely was worth it!

Location - it was like a dream.

Location - it was like a dream. And they had a broom right outside our door so when the inevitable sand was tracked into our room, we could clean it up. We never ate in the restaurant so I can't say how it was, but the other options nearby were excellent. If you're staying longer than 3 nights and want to see more than just the hotel and its surroundings, you'll want to rent a scooter.

I was expecting Haad Rin to be more crowded, dirty, and over touristy. But it wasn't! Yes, there are plenty of shops and bars and the streets are a little lively, but the beach itself is spacious, clean, and so relaxing. We aren't partiers and we had a fantastic stay in this area.
