So much to see and do, love the history of our country and this town definitely is part of it. From the gold rush stories, to the gunfights, etc. Stop at Saloon #10 for reenactment of Wild Bills death, you'll learn alot. The Bordega has great food....Walking is the best way to get around but don't forget to take a stage coach ride, you'll get a history lesson too.Guest review byDanielUnited States - 10.0

We really enjoyed our rustic stay at Mount Rushmore Under Canvas! Everything was clean and cozy, and we especially loved the lobby area—it was such a great space to relax. The campground itself had a wonderful atmosphere and felt very peaceful. Just a tip for future guests: bring a flashlight for walking around at night, and keep in mind that there’s no electricity in the tents (important if you use a CPAP). Breakfast was a highlight—we had a delicious breakfast sandwich that really hit the spot before heading out for the day. The staff made the experience even better; they were so helpful, friendly, and kind. Overall, a great stay and a memorable experience!Guest review byrandiUnited States - 10.0

Very cute town and area, with plenty to do. Awesome restaurants! the stores were fun and the people working were pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend this area for anyone liking the outdoors.Guest review byStruckman - 10.0
Hill City is a great place to stay.
Hill City is a great place to stay. It's beautiful and right in the middle of all Black Hills attractions. Keystone is like 15 min drive away, Sylvan Lake is 3 miles away, Rapid City is 27 miles. Everywhere you drive, the scenery is amazing, so even driving 30 minutes to Rapid City is a quick, pleasurable drive. Hill Citys Main street has lots of nice dining and shopping options, including a Subway for a picnic lunch at Sylvan Lake. Hill City also has a nice Grocery store and a hardware store, unlike Keystone. I'd highly recommend staying in Hill City to get the full Black Hills living experience.Guest review byJeffUnited States - 10.0
Spearwood Canyon is great first thing in the morning.
Spearwood Canyon is great first thing in the morning. The Fish Hatchery is a great place to wander in the late afternoon/early evening. Nice Beer Brewery in town. The Blackberry-Chilli ale is good.Guest review byDavidAustralia - 10.0
Wind River National Park is good.
Wind River National Park is good. Evans Plunge Pool is nice swim unique and affordable. Nice historic town buildings. The Mammoth site is world class, very good. The China Wok restaurant makes good chinese food and good price, good enough for Chinese folk from Australia, if ask for extra chilli they can make it to Szechuan heat, NICE touch!Guest review byDavidAustralia - 8.0

Nice quite town after the rally, but a lot to do in the surrounding areas. Close to Deadwood and Spearfish Canyon. Plenty to do in the Black Hills. If you are on a motorcycle, you will not find a better place to ride. Roads are perfect and the Counties keep them well maintained. Custer State Park and Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse are well worth checking into! Fantastic weather most of the time.Guest review byMaas - 8.0

There are many things to do in the area, much of them are closed in the winter, except for outdoor activities. We have been there many times throughout the year, summer is always hopping with something going on like Hot Harley Nights, the Corvette rally, Sturgis week, Mustang rally, off road 4x4s etc. Winter time it is snow mobiling and skiing.Guest review byRobertUnited States - 8.0
