The caverns are a must see! So amazing and large.
The caverns are a must see! So amazing and large. Plus the Guadalupe Mountain National Park in Texas is just a short drive away, too. The biggest surprise was the Living Desert State Park! It was a wonderful botanic garden and zoo. Even in the heat, it was fantastic! The food was okay - nothing awful, nothing fabulous. The people? I have so may happy memories of summer trips to Carlsbad Caverns, White's City and Rattlesnake Springs throughout my childhood and while a lot has changed it was so much fun taking my husband there to share with him. There is also a great Asian buffet called China Dragon Buffet; HIGHLY recommend! The city is primarily an oilfield town, with some corporate chains for restaurants. We went into town into what appeared to be a Barrio neighborhood, and had some of the best food I've ever experienced. Roque Burritos is HIGHLY recommended!Guest review bywolf
