The room was actually an apartment with a full kitchen furnished with anything you might need tp prepare your own meals, a sitting room with the most comfortable recliners and flat-screen tv with an extensive choice of programs to watch, and the bedroom had a really comfortable mattress with a second tv. The hotel offers a newer section for people who prefer more modern surroundings, but I loved the "old school" feeling of the updated original hotel, with it's beautiful woodwork, large rooms and actual keys. Everything is clean and well cared for. It was so quiet, we almost slept past breakfast! The restaurant and pub has delicious food at great prices and the included breakfast was plentiful and satisfying. They also offer indoor parking which is so appreciated during inclement weather. This was just a stop-over on a cross-country trip. Room was perfect for a good night's sleep. Clean! Breakfast was very good. Had adequate parking for our 25' RV. We will look for Hotel 6's from now on..Hotel help was friendly..Was so much nicer than alot of places we've stayed at & the rate was much cheaper also for the nite. Restaurants were close by. .We stayed at a Motel 8 the nite before & the room was dirty & a $20 fee for our 8lb dog..service was not friendly at all...would not stay at a Motel 8 again.....Guest review byHodges - 10.0

Grand Island has changed so much since I lived their in the late 1970's. I truly love coming back at least once or twice a year. The changes that have occurred with both, business and residential development are outstanding. It's very clean and well kept compared to other cities I've been to. The development at Fonner Park is excellent, especially for a city of this size. You have a facility that can handle most any size event. I made this trip to be part of Husker Harvest Days. This is a tremendous event that Nebraskans can be proud of. You can see location from I80, 5 minute checkin. clean restfull, quiet, back on road at 5am. Works great. Have taken trip from Illinois to Idaho 20 times and Ogallala is 1/2 way. We drive 2 twelve hour days. Don't loose time. lots and lots of places to eat within two or three minutes from hotel or you can walk to many. Great price, reserve ahead or they may be full. One of last good places before I80 turns north to Cheyanne, Salt Lake and Boise. We use Bookings.com and have had no problems on over 20 stays in Ogallala, NB. We book and no worries ever. The room I booked was not transferred to the hotel, according to the manager on duty on 12/23. Then she (who was not very professional at all) had to change my room and did not tell me that the price for the King would not transfer to the first room that was booked incorrectly was a 2 queen room that was way more expensive than the King. The most irritating thing about this visit was that on 12/22 ( I was in my room before the notice came out )sometime after 9pm they put out a notice that the breakfast, lunch and dinner would be suspended for Christmas Eve and Christmas day, so no food or drink - just coffee in the bar. - Ridiculous that we were not told ahead of time. I did speak to the manager when I left the property, but he said all the mix up was your fault andthere was nothing he could do about it. I won't go back - my daughter and grandchilden live in Bellevue and I go there at least 4 times a year....a lot of lost revenue.Guest review byMarilyn - 10.0

I went to visit friends who run a dog rescue (BACAN) in Cowles, Nebraska. Hastings is the closest city. The shops were nice, the people friendly and Kool Aid was invented there.
